> 24 hourI bought the video projector for the sole purpose of art tracing. Being not tech-savvy, I contacted their customer service using the email address provided in the user manual. I was so impressed with their customer support. After a few back-and-forth communications, it worked great. I just finished a painting using the projector for sketching which usually takes a few hours to do. It takes less than a minute to set it up once I know how to do it. Our neighbors also used my projector to show a couple of our neighborhood wildlife videos and slides at a recent block party that was a big success. Needless to say, I’m thrilled with the purchase.

> 24 hourThis projector is amazing. I bought it to watch movies in the kitchen while I cook. I don’t like to have a tv in the kitchen and my iPad screen was too small. So I got this projector everything that I can stream on it I’ll resize the image. The interface is user friendly. The manual is pretty straight forward. It has a small speaker built in. But I don’t recommend using it bc it’s not so loud. I love that this projector is basically cordless. It brings his own little tripod which is awesome. Not a lot of other projectors bring them. The picture quality it’s great for a small projector like this one. I highly recommend!!!

> 24 hourI bought this projector to do outdoor movies during camping. It took a second to figure out the android connection, but once that was established, it worked very well. Very compact, speaker is decent, and brightness is more than expected. Battery lasted about 5 hours before we had to plug in, but charging took about 1 hour for full. Overall am very pleased with this product.

> 24 hourTL;DR- This projector suffers from some of the worse LED blue color shift Ive seen, and cannot be rebalanced to produce accurate colors. You will spend hours trying to find a balance for the blown-out colors without losing details in the shadows due to the lack of brightness until you give up, set it back to default, and resign it to a projector for multiplayer gaming and Netflix tv binging where you can force yourself to overlook the issues. I waited a few weeks before I reviewed this in the hopes that I would come around to it. Ive always been a fan of projectors on a budget, and Ive owned my share of them over the years. When my last projector suffered a part failure that cost more than this projector, it was time to shop. Based on some early youtube recommendations (trust paid promotions are your peril, clearly), I was drawn to GooDee and this projector. Ill break the rest of this into its big three categories: Picture: Ive been wary of LED projectors due to their notorious blue tint, but they have made advancements in the last few years and every review I could find, at the time, suggested this was far less of a problem on this model. When I received it, I noticed immediately that this was not the case. This projector skewed hard blue and was presenting primary colors shifted towards their blue mixes as a result. After spending an awful amount of time in the color tiny menu (which yields little to no customization after numerous experiments with completely emptying or maxing a color) and display settings menu, I found no mix and match allowed for saturated colors, accurate reproduction, and details in shadow. A requirement of mitigating the hard-blue shift it to lower the brightness to a 40 setting or less (out of 100). The side effect of this is all detail in dark colors and shadows completely disappearing due to the dim output of the bulb at that point. With my hands completely tied, I deemed this to be incompatible with watching movies, and have been annoyed by the magenta red jerseys, and blue-green fields while watching sports. Adding insult to injury, thought common in this class and hard to knock at this price point, the focus is so soft at the edges when the center is correct that this cannot be recommended as a work place projector, rendering its abundant brightness even more useless. This soft focus will also become more evident while gaming, where HUD objects are generally on the edges where the focus is the furthest out. Device: I find it hard to complain about the form factor of this projector. It’s relatively light, though not ridiculously so. It’s relatively quiet, though not silent by any stretch. The focus wheel feels fine, though a bit touchy. All in all, I have no complaints about the physical device when not discussing its function. It’s a solid enough built projector, and the included bag is nice. Sound: This projector includes speakers, and though I had no desire to use them long term, they were used for several hours during testing. If you’re looking for a relatively portable projector to play youtube videos or Netflix shows, the sound is perfectly adequate. In a small bedroom, it’d probably be fine for most uses. However, in any normal sized room the speaker housing will begin to vibrate and peak if you push the volume towards the upper 3rd. Overall: Though there are things to like about this product, and I really want to like it, at the end of the day it’s a projector and has to be judged on what it projects. The lack of color fidelity (look at any other of the photos already attached to other reviews, the blue isn’t from their cameras), the questionable color controls, and soft focus make this a pass. Even GooDee’s own 620 traditional projector seems a better option than this model. Pass on their LED offerings.

> 24 hourThe key here is this is a five-star projector FOR TWO HUNDRED BUCKS. If you expect something to wow you in your home theater youll be really disappointed. As a first-time projector buyer I really had to learn the ropes as far as what this projector is and isnt. Image quality: I can play games, movies, or even plug it into my PC and easily do any work on it. It is bright as advertised, but you will want generally a room with windows closed and lights off. Even with lights on in my room I can read the projector screen but theres no way Id watch a movie like that. The colors and contrast are really lacking. Comparing it side by side to an entry-level asus 24 inch monitor I can notice so many more shades of color on the asus than goodee. And if you try to artificially mess with any of the settings it only ends up looking worse. For example in a dark show you really cant see much but if you adjust the brightness too much up then it blows out the whites. Certain colors like reds and greens do look fairly ugly when they are of subtle hues because the screen kind of blends them together. All that said movies are definitely watchable and FOR THE PRICE a great experience. It does do native 1080P 60Hz. Some competing brands say they do but they dont. This one seemed smooth when gaming Im almost surprised to say. Positioning the screen: You can either mount it on the ceiling or put it nearer the ground depending on whether you place the projector right side up or upside-down. But you really do need it to pretty much be centered. There is no way to horizontally adjust the position of the screen from the center of the lens. And you can only adjust it vertically by 15 degrees, and even that I wouldnt recommend because you quickly get distortion. So the takeaway is you have to place the projector straight-on from the wall that youre using. It does allow you to downscale the image a little bit, but for the most part the size of the image will be 100% a function of the distance to the wall. At 10 feet away, the screen is 90 inches measured diagonally, for a reference point. Input lag: This is a very hard spec to find. And it can be a real issue on some of these budget Chinese projectors if you want to use it for gaming. Or even for desktop computing the mouse cursor can be very laggy on bad projectors! On this one I can see it is perfectly suited for computing or gaming. It is responsive, and yeah given a choice due to image quality Id prefer to game on a different screen. Other features: I havent tried the sound built in with the unit. It does emit a decent amount of sound from the fan, like.. well, like a quiet room fan. So anything with reasonable volume will drown it out. But if you have it near your head it could be annoying. It generates a lot of heat too not surprisingly. Its a pretty attractive unit with easy-to-use (albeit limited) menus. Let me just summarize again by saying that it is easy to get a lemon for this price and I have seen some horror stories. But this projector overall just seems to have a solid set of features for the price to do entry level viewing of really any kind of media. And not doing anything really badly for 200 bucks to me makes it a superior product. If you want something that will be for more serious movie watching I suggest you spend at least 500 bucks for some of the entry level viewsonic or other brands.

> 24 hourThe projector is extremely portable and easy to use. I use it with my own tripod (the mounting hole on the bottom of the projector is not deep enough for the standard mounting screw but it can easily be adapted with an small washer or other material to take up the excess depth). What I like the most is how easy it is to turn on and off (just one button press). I was surprised that it doesnt need any cool-down once you are done with it, like the old-school projectors, but thats possibly because the lamp is of a different kind? I almost exclusively use it in HDMI mode and just connect my chromecast dongle as you can see in the picture (you can use it at home on wifi, or on the go, by making a hotspot with your cellphone). I wasnt able to use the various screen mirroring features (possibly because my modern android phone doesnt support anything other than casting) but thats not really what I bought it for (If you need it for work, I did cast a Chrome Tab running a Google Meet video-call from my Chromebook onto the Chromecast dongle and it worked fine using the projector speaker and putting up the video-call on the wall). My daughter uses it in her room to watch movies projected onto the ceiling. By pairing it up with a decent-sounding battery-operated bluetooth speaker paired to the projector, the end experience is extremely good (the internal audio is significantly stronger than a cellphone so thats also an option if you want to keep the setup to a minimum). The image is adequate in resolution and gets very sharp if you fine-tune the focus setting using the side wheel. All in all Id definitely recommend this for using around the house in places where you cant get a TV, but also when you are gathering together somewhere outdoors and want portability. The case to carry it is nice looking but much bigger than the device as it contains the remote, the mini-tripod and some wiring. Not a big deal but I wouldve expected it to be smaller. I used it mostly plugged in but when I tried it out on battery I felt the drop in charge for the minutes I kept it on made it realistic to watch an entire movie on battery. One experiment I have not done yet is to power the Chromecast dongle from the available USB port: that would make the whole setup simpler. Lastly, the brightness of the lamp is more than enough to make it usable even when the room has some light on. I was able to project a good 30 image from about 3 feet away on my kitchen wall right at lunch time, so, Id say its plenty bright actually. Looking forward to taking this little guy on my next trip!

> 24 hourBought this to do movies outside on a screen and to use in the house on occasion when wanting a big screen. The picture quality was great! Nice and bright, good color. Even looked good in a room that was lit, but if using outside it needs to at least be dusk. Direct sunlight means you cant see the picture. Sound was good. It was plenty loud enough, but I would recommend using speakers if you are looking for really high quality sound. In my opinion, the sound was good enough and I have never opted to use speakers. The menu is clear and the buttons on the projector as well as the remote are simple to use. The only concern Ive had is that it seems to get somewhat warm after a couple hours of use. The fan works well to cool it and isnt very loud. Not sure that the warmth is actually concerning, but I just like to be sure and turn it off if Im not actively using it. It works good real well with my firestick and is easy to get started. The only down side is that to use the remote you have to point it at the front of the projector. I didnt think this would be an issue, but sometimes in order to have the screen the size I need it to be I have to sit behind the projector. So I have to get up when ever I need to use the remote or get up to use the buttons on the projector. Over all great buy! Super fun and easy way to make movie night a little more special!

> 24 hourPurchased to trace photos onto canvas, works well enough for that. As a positive, it will focus close enough to work on 8x10 canvas and is bright enough to work on large canvas with the lights on. The resolution looks to be 480p not native 1080p, it that is important to you, move on. I was unsuccessful playing my media files through USB, it sees the files but locks up without playing, not important to me but may be an issue for others. You cant screen mirror a modern android phone. You can mirror an iPhone but it requires a strong wifi signal. Would not work unless physically close to the wifi, otherwise the link would drop several times a minute. Color fidelity was definitely off, fine for tracing but not great. For 200 bucks 3/5.
