It’s silky soft, thick, and heavy for a baby towel. It does have a slight unpleasant smell, but goes away with one washing. The hood is plenty big for my toddler, but the towel itself is sized (and shaped) better for wrapping an infant after bathing. Overall, a very nice baby towel!
