> 3 dayHad this micrometer three years. Kept in original box inside the house away from any source of moisture and never keep the battery in the unit when storing. Very rarely use it and now is completely dead. New battery doesn’t help

> 3 dayI wont even use non-Mitutoyo digital calipers. These are so flawlessly made, and work so well, that everything else feels like junk by comparison. The jaws dont wear anywhere near as quick as cheap brands- and they never, ever, lose their place. This is the perfect digital caliper- well worth the cost. Lets put it this way- I went to watchmaking school in the US. The only digital calipers used there were these series from Mitutoyo. I use these constantly as a machinist too. They pay for themselves. Dont even bother with anything else, the rest is junk that the jaws will wear prematurely on.

> 3 dayAlways wanted a 4 inch caliper. Run a #2 Bridgeport. Need to take measurements with work piece still in the vise. Very pleased with the quality and accuracy.

> 3 dayin mid use using the included battery, my calipers started flashing little black bars...means needs new battery? i tried the ones i had LR44,, didnt work.. then ordered SR44...still wont work but now i cant find the battery cover..no exact matches...so now i have to order a brand new calipers? well it certainly will not be this one...waste of money if i can not get battery and replacement cover to work.
