After wasting money on digital vernier calipers that kept having to be reset to zero after every use, poor accuracy, plus battery drainage, I decided to go for this caliper. Wish I had started with this one then I wouldnt of wasted so much money on the others. It is accurate and STAYS accurate after every use, feels robust and very well made. It is worth every penny more than the digital cheap ones. Only downside as others have stated is there is no solid case for the caliper , hence only four stars. ( but I am ok as I have three cases from the digital ones).

I specifically wanted this one, no electronics, nothing can break. Excellent build quality.

さすが専門メーカー、スケールの見やすさもgoodです。仕事で使っていたので、趣味のDIY用にも購入しました。 ただ、スライダーの動きがちょっと硬いので星マイナス１つです。

I have used Mitutoyo measuring products many times and expected I knew 100% what I was getting with these calipers, a quality tool. However, in the first few months I have had them, they have developed surface rust just from very light use in a normal humidity environment. Apparently this is very low chromium content stainless. I will keep them very well oiled into the future. Bummer. Also, they have always been placed back into a case after, and the legends seem to have weared.

Very clear and user friendly. The quality is evident and certainly justifies the additional cost; there are cheaper gauges on the market, but in my opinion that would be false economy.

Der Messchieber kommt in einer dünnen Konststofftasche, ist insgesamt nicht das höchste der Verarbeitung und reibt etwas beim Bewegen (Obwohl sich das mit der Zeit verbessern wird...). Er hält aber zumindest was er verspricht, er misst halbwegs genau und die Feststellschraube tut auch ihren Zweck - insgesamt ein bracuhbarer Messschieber, aber keine Wunder erwarten.
