Having a long charging cable is really important if you like working and playing comfortably on a tablet or phone from a comfy chair or from bed. The charging speed on my iPad with the cable seems about the same as with my Apple charger. This cable also does data transfer on my PC laptop from my phone and external USB-C hard drive and with my iPad it also mounts my USB-C hard drive but not the phone.
