A 10x stereo scope would be ideal. Search for and watch multiple YouTube videos. some are much better then others. There is a very good one with a gal changing the connector with a camera view through a scope. She narrates the process and enplanes the windows for aligning the connector. Figure on spending 3 good hours. One to open the case, one to remove the connector and install the new. The last one to clean up everything, put to processor board back in and close up the case. I changed the battery while I was in there and that added a little time to everything. When I got it back together I figured I had a 50/50 chance of it working considering everything I had to remove and put back in. Figured I only be out about $30 between the connector and the battery. It was a good gamble, works like new! I knocked off one star because its not easy to do ( I had previous experience soldering small parts) and because I had to find my own videos on changing the connector. All that said, I would recommend this produce.
