Moen, Brushed Nickel Y2686BN Banbury Towel Ring

We were looking for a adhesive type mount

Bought this to add on to a set we purchase and installed previously. Love this Moen line - look great, and well made. My only feedback is the wall anchors they provide are the light duty kind, that dont last in my experience. Swapped these out for some heavy-duty self-drilling anchors and this wont be going anywhere!

Moen quality, and cheaper than the local big box stores. The reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5, is because the towel ring seemed to be slightly tweaked, not sitting perfectly in the base. Not sure if this is a factory second? Doesnt matter, its in a 1/2 bath in my rental house not the Taj Mahal. It looks good & it works.

I love that these come with extremely high quality anchors that are heavy duty. I didnt have the correctly sized drill bit, but fortunately my neighbor is into woodworking and loaned me his while I mounted all this stuff up in my bathrooms. For those of you not so fortunate to have such a neighbor, youre going to need a 5/16 drill bit to install this. Gorgeous and high quality!

This towel ring was so easy to install, you must follow directions. A little trick that I always use before installing the screws is - rub a little soap on the screw and it will be easy to turn it ! ! It is very sturdy ! !

Below is my original review. I got a response from Nanny and did contact Moen regarding the product. I explained to them in an email my problem. Not only did they respond, but they are replacing the towel ring within the next 10 days!! I am stunned at the response and so pleased that I do not have to expense another ring. Had to change my review to 5 stars and let any and all know that this is an amazing company with a quality product that definitely deserves your business. If only all the lemons Ive purchased over the years could have such a happy result! Thank you Nanny!! I ordered 2 of these towel rings as we were updating 2 bathrooms. We worked on the main one in spare time not getting everything done immediately. Also, the towel bars and rings were not of vital importance as were other items in the bathroom. We had no problems with the first bath and in fact loved the Banbury brushed nickel. It looks elegant and was easy to install. Just now getting to the second bath, my husband found the small screw to hold it on did not fit and seemed as it were the wrong screw for the item. It just would not work. He tried getting it out and finding another, but basically the towel ring is worthless to us. Of course, the time has elapsed to return it. The product is of good quality, but this one was bad from the start. We should have opened it assuming there would be a problem, but it was new and what could be wrong? As I said, we love the items and except for getting a lemon with one, they are highly recommended. My review is only to warn buyers to check the products as soon as you get them. Waiting too long could mean losing your money. And they are not inexpensive!

I have no idea why softness is something I should rate for a metal towel ring. Lol. Item as described.
