wonderful....the USB and the top and bottom outlet are seprate wifi controls

Had it for couple months already. Easy instal and set up. I wish the brand logo would not be on the faceplate and most plugs very difficult to insert - feels like something isn’t unite aligned inside.. but luckily I don’t need to reinsert plugs often! Love the convenience and it works well!

—-update 12/4/21—- I received the new switch and same issue in the Smart Life app, device not detected. I got the Tuya Smart App and everything worked flawlessly. Both apps have the same interface but Tuya worked in seconds detecting outlet. I am not sure where problem lies but recommend to not use Smart Life App and go instead to Tuya. Update rating from 1 to a 4. ———- This outlet is really 3 outlets in one package. You are able to control each outlet plus the USB port separately which is what drew me to this. The biggest issue I have is setting this up. I have setup countless smart devices but this one I am unable to setup. I have followed the included instructions and tired variations however the Smart Life app will not find it. I have ordered a replacement just in case this unit is defective and will give it a 2nd chance. My initial review is not to recommend this outlet. This may change if the replacement is recognized by the Smart Life app and I am able to set it up. I will be sure to update this review if anything changes, if not this will be my final review. I have been using, testing and reviewing smart home products for nearly 10 years now - it’s amazing how the product lines have evolved in such a short period of time. This smart wall outlet from MoesGo is awesome. I’ve tested many hard wired smart outlets and this was among the easiest to set up, the most intuitive to use and among the most dependable. If you have any experience changing a receptacle, installing this will take you around 15 minutes. The Smart Life App or Tuya Smart App (which are the same only different color schemes) are easy to set up, and very user friendly in terms of setting up routines and in daily use. I have had success using these outlets within my Samsung SmartThings set up but it does require an understanding of that system. Currently Smart Life / Tuya Smart are supported on IFTTT, though for a few weeks last year they were not. Thankfully Smart Life / Tuya Smart opted to continue paying for continued integration within the IFTTT network as without this integration of these apps within full home systems is much more difficult. The wall outlet is a great feature for a smart home so that you can incorporate non smart appliances into your smart home - but also operate them via controlling the power through wall outlet. This is an incredible smart outlet from MoesGo that I would definitely recommend. I’ve tested and used many MoesGo products over the last several years with nothing but great results - this outlet is no different. MoesGo as a brand has continued to evolve as has the SmartHome technology - and with each stage of their evolution they have become more user friendly, more functional and more responsive. I definitely recommend this product and this brand.

I would strongly not recommend this product. I was not able to get them to connect with my wifi. Emailed the company for help but got no reply. I got 12 of these units and I’m going to end up throwing them out. Don’t waste your money

I wanted the USB ports to allow me to turn on/off my new under cabinet led lights with a schedule and these are working perfectly with Alexa. Being able to turn on/off the individual sockets is also very helpful as I purchased a small coffee pod maker and the instructions say to unplug it after each use. Knowing that its an unknown brand (but the perfect size/color for my new coffee station) I decided that its a good idea to heed the instructions, thus the ability to to set a make me a cup of coffee routine in Alexa to turn on the pot plug and automatically turn off after the 5 minutes. Ive had power cycled as my hubby was installing them a few on different days and the wifi connection comes right back up with no issues after power cycled.

More of a warning, dont put in an older metal wall box, I ended up blowing up the outlet

Spent an hour installing this . Was really quite simple . WiFi took a bit of fiddling around , with Smart Life app The vertical orientation of the USB port , is not ideal, as can get in the way of large size plugs. May have been batter to locate it horizontally at the top or the bottom

The installation was straight forward. Directions in box were sufficient and clear. The socket looks better than what the builders used. I like the switches for each outlet as well as the USB jack. It is a well thought out item. The socket functions well. I installed it behind my drum set because it is a pain to get back there. I have a light hung on that wall that does not have a stitch - it turns on by being plugged in, off by being unplugged. This outlet made that setup work properly for the first time. My room functions better now.
