> 3 dayGreat little switch! Its exactly what I needed to add a couple of cameras where I didnt want to run a ton of wiring through walls to my patch panel. I cant believe it has POE at this price point either. Speeds are true at 1Gb/s, works well so far. Cant wait to see if it lasts, but if it does (and I see no reason it wouldnt), this will have been the most economical and awesome tech purchase Ive made in a while. Give it a shot if you need a switch at all, but especially if you need POE

> 3 dayA Great price and nice quality for this small PoE Switch. I tested this with my Yealink phone and a PoE camera and it functioned exactly as expected. The switch is unmanaged so there is no interface to report. I found it was also great that they included 2 SFP cages for those who need a fiber uplink for distance.

Greater than one weekInexpensive and well-made switch is quiet and stays relatively cool while in use; the built-in power supply is an added plus so theres no external power brick to deal with. POE devices work great as expected and the SFP uplink ports work well and stays connected to the server.

> 3 dayThere is a lot of functionality in this switch. This allowed me to clean up my communications closet of 2 separate POE devices and plugins and a 2 switches down to just this switch and one other switch. Allowed me to consolidate and simplify my home network gear. Documentation was pretty well defined as well.

> 3 dayThis is my first standalone network switch, my previous experiences have been part of the WiFi router. So whats different from a newbie perspective? First of all the 8 Gb ports easily beat the 4 or fewer ports with the WiFi router. Then theres the PoE support. I have a network camera that has its own PoE adapter, with this setup I no longer need the adapter as Im getting power straight from the switch, nice! In terms of uplink connectivity, there are two Gb RJ45 ports as well as two SFP fiber ports. I dont have fiber in my area so I cant test the latter. I have this switch connected my Nest WiFi router which is itself connected to the cable modem, this way I can reach everything on my network. A couple other things I like about this switch. 1. The power supply is built in to the chassis so theres no wall wart to take up multiple sockets. 2. Its fanless, even though it can support 120W total PoE, thats pretty impressive and quiet at the same time. Ive only hooked this up for a few days so I cant speak to this reliability, but so far no complaints.

> 3 dayThe MokerLink 12 Port Gigabit PoE Switch was requested for the install of a new POE IP cam surveillance system to augment the analog system already in place. This switch is awesome in terms of features, in my opinion. The only feature this unit did not offer, which I thought should have been, is the VLAN switch capability that seems to be the current trend. Other than that, this switch is a gangbuster level switch. I gave a 5-star rating, anticipating a long service life. If that fails to be the case, Ill return and modify this review. I heartily recommend this device for anyone needing a simple POE switch!

> 3 dayThis unit will allow me to extend my network by fiber connectivity to an outside building to improve speed and quality over my current Ethernet over electrical wiring configuration. It then can take advantage of PoE security cameras simplifying individual power packs and simplified wiring, and also interface with the router in that location with the added security of the SPF fiber cable connection between points. Although this unit provides 4KV of lightning protection the fiber cable connection alone offers protection in between points that might otherwise be a compromising factor as with electrical wiring configuration that can get a lot of spikes and dips. What I was also impressed with was the manufacturers full line of products and web site with tons of additional product information and Support tab for assistance. Everyone’s personal needs and configurations will be different of course. But this unit does offer a lot of options all in one system over using separate components.

09-06-2025Its nice to run one data link to the other side of the property to connect PoE devices instead of running each of the runs individually. The bandwidth of the uplink line is supporting everything so far. I am not currently using a fiber connection, but this is a great idea for additional building expansion. This is a pretty simple unmanaged PoE enabled switch. Pretty much plug and play.

> 3 dayThis switch is really good. I was able to replace all the messy PoE injectors I had for my wireless access points and have the power come directly from this switch. So far, the switch has been really stable and fast, and the fact that the power supply is built into the switch is GAME CHANGING. Im on a mission to replace all those DC converter boxes that take up more than one plug space. This one uses a standard PC power cable, and I love that. The instruction manual is generic for many products, and this is where the product falls short. Not having a specific manual for the particular switch meant I had to go hunting on the Internet to figure out what the Extend 7-8 toggle did (It lets you violate the ethernet 100M range by sacrificing speed... Which I imagine is useful in EXTREMELY niche cases). The instruction manual also implied there was some configuration possible on uplink port speed, but this is an unmanaged switch, and theres only one toggle switch on the device. Everything is auto-negotiated, and I wasted some time trying to figure out how to configure it because the instructions were unclear.

> 3 dayThis MokerLink PoE switch helped me clean up some of the wiring mess I previously had. Ive been using a Ruckus WiFi hotspot for the (large) yard and it ended up being jury rigged since the prior switch wasnt PoE. I had to run an extension cord and an AC adapter to get the WiFi running. With this MokerLink switch, I was able to eliminate the extension cord and power supply and have the Ruckus powered over the CAT5 cable alone. Power seems good and the wifi is strong. Good switch!
