> 3 dayI got two new monitors but the DisplayPort cable was too short for one of them. I tried an HDMI to DisplayPort cable I had, which is passive, and the picture was quite washed out. I thought there was something wrong with the monitor because it literally paled in comparison to the other matching monitor. So I thought getting the proper cable might fix the problem and took the chance. I needed 10 DisplayPort to 10 DisplayPort, and this was the best value when it was on sale like $2 off. Fixed my problem! I am so happy! When it comes to generics, I really like Monoprice, especially with free shipping. I would compare it to Rosewill, if not better, if that helps anyone.

Greater than one weekThe 10 ft cable caused occasional flickering on my 4K 60 Hz monitor, so it definitely could not support 8K 60 Hz. The moral of the story is that dont cheap out on display cables and please get one that is VESA certified.d

> 3 dayI use these for my PS5 and PC. Im getting great picture from these devices. Apparently, not all 4k cables do 120Hz. These do.

Greater than one weekThe cable quality is nice. Thick and well braided. It works well, as a cable should. My only problem is that the clip on the end can make it hard to get it in and out of my graphics card. If it didnt have that it would be getting five stars.

> 3 dayPerforms as rated and has a nice braided cable design to boot. Got exactly what I expected which is Displayport 1.4 compatible with a 10 foot reach. Monoprice usually delivers on what they say.

19-11-2024These cables are great, i needed longer cables for my dual 32 lg monitors. I wanted something beefy and well built, I got both with these cables. they work flawlessly. I have plugged and unplugged these cables many times, I build pcs as a hobby, these have probably been hooked up to 15 computers with out an issue. they still fit snug into the monitor and graphics card.

Greater than one weekI purchase this for a portable machine that the users tend to run over the cord frequently and these hold up much better than the non braided cables.

Greater than one weekUPDATE: Im dropping a star because I began experiencing display dropouts when I switched my monitors to 10-bit mode. The cables still work perfectly fine at 1440p 165Hz 8-bit though so I think they will be okay for most people. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Since everything seems to come with 6 foot cables and proper cable management eats up a lot of length I needed some longer ones. Got a couple of these Monoprice 10ft DisplayPort 1.4 cables and Im very happy with them. They are quite thick and sturdy feeling. Physical connection is fairly solid as well. Compared to paying 2-3x the price at a big box store these are a no-brainer. Working perfectly with my two 1440p monitors at 165Hz, no issues whatsoever. Ill also point out that the cables come coiled in a loop and arent folded. This is a big plus in my book as there wont be any permanent bends in the cable. These will be my go-to as long as theyre still available.

Greater than one weekCable worked just fine for 2.5 months. About 2 weeks ago my monitor entered sleep mode as it always does after 5 minutes of inactivity. When I returned to my computer and moved my mouse to reactivate the monitor, I got the DisplayPort no signal box, and monitor returned to sleep. I turned it off entirely and back on, and at that time it continued to work fine. Today the same thing happened and this time nothing works. Ive rebooted, unplugged the power to the monitor. Tried the other 2 ports on my graphics card. Cable has just died. This seems to be pretty common as this is the 3rd cable Ive had do this, and all 3 were different brands. First one worked for about 6 months and died, 2nd one I got ONE WEEK out of it. Back to HDMI I guess. Amazingly enough Ive never had an HDMI cable fail on me in 15+ years.
