I got this cable to interface to a software defined radio. Seems decent enough, although the BNC end feels like it’s slightly loose and could use a little more spring tension. No matter, it worked fine when compared with another patch cable of similar length.

I picked up this cable specifically for use between a SDR (SMA) and a portable antenna with a BNC connector. I typically try to purchase application-specific cables when possible to reduce the insertion loss from various adapters. This cable from MOOKEERF fit my needs perfectly. As with other MOOKEERF cables Ive purchased, this one has excellent build quality with quality cable and connectors. I dont use these in a permanent outdoor scenario so cant really speak to their resistance to the elements. For my application-specific use cases, these cables perform with excellence and Im very satisfied.

I needed to connect a spectrum analyzer to an amplifier which was located on another test bench and this cable assembly was perfect. It is extremely well-built with extra-long sleeves at the connector attachments. I could have used a BNC cable with BNC to SMA adaptors, but I wanted a standalone cable which was designed and tested to minimize cable effects on transmission qualities. I did, however compare the two candidate cable assemblies with a VNA and found this assembly was significantly better than the BNC plus adaptor solution. Highly recommend this item.

These are my go to choice for factory SMA to BNC cables. SMA connectors give me fits and frustrate me so now I get these instead. Quality constructed cables by people that know how to install difficult connectors. Recommended product!

If this is the cable you need and you dont mind it being white then this is the cable for you... Looks good and feels good and is overall very heavy duty. Good day & God Bless... Randall M. Rueff K9RMR

Another great cable from MOOKEERF. I have several of the brands they sell and all have been good. They test at or better than specifications.

This cable is very high quality and the connectors are robust. The waterproofed and sealed ends are an unexpected feature. This cable has the correct connectors for using an external BNC connector antenna with a MMDVM hotspot or a WiFi device.

I got this to connect my nanoVNA to various devices around the shack such as antenna tuners and baluns and such. What I like: High quality connectors and cable. Strong strain relief at each connector makes it unlikely to fail at the joint. Their claimed cable loss is exceptionally low. I didnt measure the loss, but it certainly feels low-loss based on quality of the connectors and stiffness of the cable. What I dont like: the cable is very stiff. In fact, I decided not to use it with my nanoVNA whose SMA connector is not very robust and im afraid it would eventually be damaged by using such stiff cable. Instead, Im using a short length of RG174, which is flexible enough to take the strain off the nanoVNA. Although RG174 is lossy, a 3 ft long cable should have negligible loss for my applications. Note that Im only interested in frequencies below 30 MHz. For VHF and UHF applications, low loss cable like this would be much more important.

I have several HAM radios that all have SMA Female sockets on them for antenna connections. I prefer BNC and have started to make them standard on all my antennas. For remote deployment of an antenna with a BNC connector into an HT type transceiver without a BNC adapter, this is perfect.

If you do much with RF, test gear, or ham radio, you know the the BNC and SMA connectors are some of the most common today, and jumper cables often need different connectors on each end. This is one of those cables that you just want on the shelf for when, not if, you need it, and the length of 6 feet that I chose is just because that seems to be around arms length, which is often a semi-circle describing where my tech stuff is relative to my chair. The cable seems to be well-made with thick-walled, yellow heat shrink tubing at each connector. You can just see a little adhesive ooze-out in the photo, confirming that is adhesive lined, providing both strength and some water resistance, although I wouldnt leave either SMA or BNC connectors out in the weather long-term. The white jacket of the cable is imprinted RG8X Low Loss Coaxial Cable, showing that it is the advertised variety of coax cable. I saw no brand name on the cable, but I wasnt expecting something like Belden or Pasternack at this price point. RG-8X is not what I would call low loss. Its more of a modest loss, with a lot less loss than RG-58 and a lot more loss than RG-6. This six foot cable length of cable would add about 0.8db of attenuation at 1GHz, 0.5dB at 500MHz, and less than 0.1dB throughout the HF ham bands (<30MH). Thats exclusive of any losses due to SWR and impedance mismatches, of course. Basically, this is a decent trade-off between attenuation, diameter, weight, and flexibility for typical uses. MOOKEERF has supplied a number of cables that I have and although a few were just a bit short, this one is almost exactly six feet long -- to the best one could expect for any commercial cable assembly. Im happy to recommend this.
