> 3 dayI’ve always purchased Scotch-Brite dish sponges & gave these a try. Just as good if not better!

> 3 dayI am a repeat customer because these work for me. I do not have an automatic dishwasher and these sponges are adequate for hand-washing, even pots and pans for the most part. They hold up to hot water and the addition of bleach to the water. Also, since they are not overpriced, I do not hesitate to throw away one that is on its last gasp, so that I am able to enjoy a somewhat more hygienic kitchen.

19-11-2024I’ve ordered a package of Amazon brand blue kitchen sponges twice. I use both sides on my non-stick cookware with no scratching at all, so that part is really great. And the soft sponge side is very durable and they don’t make “sponge crumbs” like that other brand of yellow sponges does that I’ve bought in stores. I’m talking about those little pieces of sponge material that falls off into your sink or dishwater. These blue sponges do not do that. And that’s another good thing. However, the big downside with these blue sponges is that the scrubby side doesn’t last very long. Not at all. They start looking old and worn after less than one week of normal use. I’ll usually pull off the scrubby side in layers as it starts forming these pieces (more like globs) of scrubby material. It sort of gets sloughed or separated from the main part of that side of the sponge. The best way I can describe it, is it’s like pulling off “scrubby lint.” I don’t use these for heavy duty cleaning. And I certainly do not scrub hard on my non-stick cookware. I don’t recommend the Amazon brand of blue kitchen sponges and I won’t be buying them again.

Greater than one weekI noticed the scrubby part starts to pill and look worn after just a week and Ive been going through them more quickly compared to the 3M ones -you get what you pay for.

> 3 dayFor the price, they arent bad. But they just dont last as long as some of the more expensive name brands. Granted, by the time these are falling apart (every 2-3 weeks) you should probably just replace your sponges anyway, but still the name brands definitely last longer. The scrubber side starts to peel away in the second week of light use. And the crubber side also piles very badly, which greatly reduces its scrub ability. Overall probably just worth spending a little bit more for much better quality.
