> 3 dayUpgraded to this after my previous monitor (30 in. Spectre ultrawide @ 2560x1080 200hz) died after 2 years of use out of the blue because the capacitors burnt out. After a bit of contrast and RGB calibration out of the box, the colors look even sharper than the Spectre. Definitely a lot less gray and more defined. The backlight bleeding the Spectre suffered from is also practically nonexistent in this one. Very even lighting through and through. FFXIV looks much more crisp at this resolution, to the point where Ive disabled most of the custom FXAA/bloom/blur shaders I previously used at 2560x1080 which helped hide the jaggedness. Overall quite happy with my purchase. I cannot elaborate on VA smearing and response times as I do not play FPS games, and this is perfect so far for my MMO + programming needs.

> 3 dayThis monitor exceeded my expectations. Easy to set up and get into use. Ive never owned nor have seen an UW monitor in the past, as well as experienced 144hz refresh rate. I was skeptical about the aspect ratio due to my Twitch streams and YouTube videos but there are work arounds for anything now a days! IF you have a PC that can run games in 3440x1440 with a higher framerate Id highly recommend checking this out. Even if not, at least being able to handle the resolution is a bonus as games look BEAUTIFUL. Color accuracy/brightness is a big thing for me and this monitor delivers, whether SDR or HDR. Customization is easy in this field as you can do it through the monitor OR theres software available for a seamless set-up. The price cannot be beaten for the product thats delivered, as a first time customer with MSI theyve left a great impression. Ive literally found 0 weaknesses in this monitor so far and all its strengths are as listed. Upgrading from a 24 1920x1080 monitor to this was the best decision Ive made recently in terms of gaming.

> 3 dayI have been using this monitor for approximately a year now and its an amazing monitor, especially for my first 1440p monitor. The curve is perfect as a dual monitor replacement and worked great w/ my KVM switch. Gaming picture quality and refresh rate are great for the price to performance ratio.

> 3 dayYes it does make a difference in gaming. Make sure you have a powerful enough gpu for 2+k gaming. Trust me, not 4k but still can see the very small details.

> 3 dayThis is one heck of a monitor and I am so glad I pulled the trigger on getting it. I previously had a 2k MSI monitor that was a VA panel, but this ultra-wide is just SO much better than what I had before. If you are looking for a wonderful gaming monitor with deep blacks and good contrast/colors, get this monitor. You will not regret it!

> 3 dayPicture quality wise this monitor is great. But it will randomly go out in a frozen black pic where even the power button will not work and unit needs to be unplugged. This happens 2-3 times per week. I am going to see if issue persists not that I have a new GPU for with monitor. If it does I will need this serviced as a defect. But when not randomly going out the pic quality and in game response is amazing. I am using stock display port cable that came with the monitor. If this issue resolves itself or if MSI make repairs smooth I will raise this rating.

> 3 dayUsing this for work from home on a company supplied laptop. The resolution is perfect, I can make things small enough to fit a lot on the screen. Colors look good. The back lot LEDs are a bonus. The stand is decent but I just wish it went higher up.

17-11-2024Overview/ Display - Let me first start off by saying this monitor is really one of the best things Ive seen in a while. Moving up from a Macbook pro-2015 15.4 to this display the difference is night and day. This screen is accurate when it comes to colors from what I can tell and it is bright, vivid, and best of all there is absolutely no backlight bleed on my panel or at least very minimal. At 34 inches this is massive, it dwarfs my laptop in comparison. But for productivity and media consumption it rocks. Im assuming gaming performance is good too BUT when Im able to test with an actual PC (currently inc a graphics card queue(-_-) ) I have yet to say. -Stand While Im not using the included stand it is heavy and seems to have great adjustability from what I can tell. The Menu- The menu is intuitive on this display, While it might not be super crazy like some Samsung monitors with literal joysticks it does have a streamlined menu that is easy to change any of the settings that come baked in. The LED ring on the back is a nice touch and has the option to turn it off. -Vesa mount- THIS DISPLAY WORKS WITH VESA, it comes with standoff screws to clear the back plastic and mounts securely to any wall or arm mount. I didnt know this at first but it does come with all the hardware needed to wall mount this. -Price For the price of $420 at the time of purchase, this monitor is outstanding and I highly recommend that anyone pick one up -Final thoughts While I cant say anything about gaming on this just yet I will come back and give my final thoughts on it in the next following months. AND TO NOTE: my computer is only outputting at 2560x1080 to this I cannot wait to see what this thing actually can do!!
