MTB SS304 Stainless Steel Welded Wire Mesh 36 inches x 10 feet- 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch Mesh 18GA(1.2mm)

Had chipmunks going into my furnace exhaust pipe. Natural gas exhaust is corrosive. This worked very well to put a cylindrical cage around the exhaust pipe.

Used to bird-proof a gas grill with several openings in the back and below. Once the birds found this home, they were unrelenting nest builders inside the grill. Sheet stainless would have been expensive and hard to cut, form, and drill in this application. I was able to cut this mesh with tin snips and diagonal pliers and formed by hand over a 2x4 (wearing leather gloves). The welded wire intersections generally took considerable abuse without failing. Im sure Ill find other projects for whats left over.

Rusted at every weld joint only weeks after being exposed to the elements. Don’t recommend.

I use this stainless steel grid wire to make grill baskets for my pellet grill. I used stainless steel hog rings on the corners. It sure is a lot cheaper to do this than to buy the overpriced pre-made grill baskets. I made them a size that I could put in my dishwasher. Looking forward to using them for the first time tonight.

I learned the hard way that chipmunks like to nest in underground irrigation control vaults. Fortunately I got to fix the problem before they munched on the wires to my valves! I had to excavate the control vault, and line the hole with this stainless steel (rabbit wire) 1/2in mesh, and then replace the vault. SS wire wont corrode & disintegrate like galvanized wire will. Thats important, as I would not want to have to do this again! I put in a 2nd vault, out in the front yard late this past Fall & made sure to line the hole with this mesh first, before assembling the vault. MUCH easier when you do it RIGHT the FIRST time!

I purchased this product which was significantly more expensive than other hardware fabric material because it stated stainless steel and no galvanization which contains lead which can potentially leach out into the soil and get into the vegetables and into myself and my family. Not until I unpacked the material I saw the small print. Should have listened to Joan Baez and taken the birds and bees, please.

They say it’s 10ft length but it’s 8ft 5inch. Only.
