Worked for me. Unlike most other fiber to copper transceivers, this one WILL change speeds between the two interfaces. I have the fiber side running at 1000 Mbit/s and the copper side running at 100 Mbit, both auto-negotiating with their respective peers.

These fiber media convertors work well and I find them more robust than the single fiber versions. I have never had a connection issue with these. I use them on my music streamer. Using fiber to break the copper wire ethernet connection makes the music sound better- especially 44kHz, 16 bit files.

These are simple to use and they work well. I didnt need to change any settings and they are holding up just fine in an industrial environment. Its definitely worth getting to upgrade from a 100Mbps connection to Gigabit like I did.

I purchased 2 of these media converters about a year and a half ago. They both work great. My only issue was, after about a year of use, the included gbic on both units failed. Luckly I had spares from Cisco lying around. After the replacement there have been no further issues.

I have my router placed in the attic, so I had to use this converter to enable connection in my room. That was very straightforward to install, and the converter works without any issues, which Im pretty happy about.

Works like a champ. First time I hooked it up and it has been in service ever since. I really was thinking it was 10 Gbps, but it is 1 Gbps. Using it for a line from my house to my shop, replacing *4* CAT5 eithernet cables that I ran before (all of which died at some point, I now have armored, fiber cable running there instead and it was about the same price as running Cat6A - which I did and then found out it is hard to terminate (I gave up, but then I only have 35 years experience in IT :-)) This was click click and done.

It is exactly what I was needed. Was wrapped in anti-static bag which make whole product looks worthy. The product does its job well. It came with an RJ-45 cable with it, which was useful. Started to work immediately after connecting to his network switch. Great!

I plugged a pair of these converters into a 200ft multimode 50/125 patch cable with LC connectors and they work right out of the box. The power supply is not a space hogging wall wart. There is a short 110v pig tail for plugging into a power strip. A handwritten note offering tech support was included.

Product works as charm. i was able to put 30m fiber with no issue. Only two things. 1. I tried other product they are well built then this one but i got gain of 1ms in ping that matters to me. 2. my rj45 is 2.5G and expected to get 2.5G but got 1gbps. Overall i believe product deliver what it meant for - above two items is my observation still unit i choose to use for my final setup.

Worked perfectly right out of the box. Great price and did what I needed. Have only been using it for about 4 weeks so cant comment on its reliability yet but, so far, Im very pleased.
