I was looking for somethinf to help me hang tools and extension cords on the side of my metal storage cabinet in the garage. I bought two different kinds of magnet hangers/hooks. This one significantly outperforms the other style/brand. The magnet is super strong, no problem holding anything I attach without the magnet sliding down or dropping. Would definitely buy it again.

The magnets on these hooks are impressively strong but not difficult to remove. By simply pushing up on the extended hook, the leverage allows for easy removal of the magnets from their surface. In the pics, I have them mounted to my secondary refrigerator. I havent quite figured out where Im going to mount them more permanently yet. They come as a 2 pack and should EASILY hold various hand-tools with no fear of letting loose. They extensions are plastic coated too, so as not to damage whatever you intend to hang on them. Overall, definitely recommend.

My husband is using these in his workshop. These are his thoughts. These magnetic hooks consist of a strong round magnet about 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter. This is in a protective black plastic covering. There is a protruding bolt to which an included black plastic coated double arm hanger maybe be attached with the included hardware. I tried these magnetic hooks on a slightly pebbly surface. They were not easy to pull off, but did slide when downward pressure was applied to the hanger. I placed 10 pounds (5.4 kg) on the rack and they slowly slid downwards. Five pounds (2.7 kg) did not result in sliding. I tried them on a smooth steel surface and the holding power was at least double. Each magnet easily held 10 pounds (5.4 kg) without sliding. These magnetic hooks would work well on steel pegboard or on a steel shed.

I love these magnetic hooks! I was surprised at how strong they are and how much they hold! They are great to hold my electrical cords. I even took one of the magnetic hooks outside and hung it on my garage door so I could hang a 100 ft cord that I have. It’s nice to be able to have the cord stored up out of the way until I’m ready to use it and then I can just take back inside when I’m done. This would be a great Fathers Day gift!

If you want to stick this to a metal wall and hang more than a pound from it, without it sliding down the wall, then this is what you want. It actually works, only hung 5 or 6lbs from it so I do not know how much it will hold but it is allot better than the 1 claiming to be able to hold 21lbs, that I purchased from Amazon as well, that wouldnt hold more than 1lb

I use these on the interior walls of my van. They work great. I am able to hang extension coords, carpet wands and other items, no issue.

These are pretty strong magnets, and require minimal assembly -- just bolt on the hook to the threaded stud and off you go. I do appreciate that they included a lock washer to keep everything bolted together. They claim it can hold 60lbs. But you should also note that they specify this is on 1/3 thick steel plate. I doubt most people buying this product are going to be using it on 10mm thick steel! I imagine the most common use case is to put on a tool chest. This is what I am using it for. Most tool chests are around 18G steel sheet, or thinner. Its still strong and will hold a good bit of weight, but the advertised claims are a bit misleading. One other thing to note -- I have previously purchased similar magnets from this company a little over a year ago. The rubber used does release a bit of oil or something like that over time. Doesnt matter on a tool chest, but if youre using this on your fridge for example, I would keep an eye on it to make sure the oil doesnt stain your finish. The other minor complaint I have, is the packaging. The two magnets were thrown into a single plastic bag and placed into a small cardboard box. With strong magnets, I much prefer to see some type of barrier between the magnets holding them apart. With some competitors, I have been shipped magnets with foam blocking between them, ensuring the magnets dont attach to each other. The reason this is relevant, is because if the faces of the magnets come together, they are strong enough that theyre quite difficult to separate. I tried this, and was able to get them back apart, but with significant effort. If you dont have a strong grip you will have a very tough time. Note that in my case, the magnets arrived stacked on top of each other, so the faces werent in contact when I received them. However, I could easily see the magnets shifting in transit and some of them arriving with the faces securely attached to each other.
