> 3 dayI had to replace the fan in my laptop, so I just needed a dab of thermal compound. This was recommended to me by a computer programmer friend, so I assumed it was a quality product. It did exactly what I needed it to do. Its a perfect viscosity and I had no problems with application and havent had overheating issues since it was applied. It was easily spread with the included spatula. Definitely recommend this!

> 3 dayIve never over-clocked a CPU before, so had never used thermal paste before. I followed the instructions, which guided me through the best way to apply the thermal paste to my particular CPU in order to get the best possible heat transfer to my heat-sink. Everything went well and I now have a faster PC running at a stable temperature, so Im very pleased. There is enough paste left to do this again and Ill be much more confident after my first go.

Greater than one weekStopped my original fat ps4 model from overheating temporarily.I say temporarily is because my ps4 still gives an overheating warning issue(mostly with demanding games)or the placement of my ps4,which is on a wood entertainment center(bad maybe i know).But after cleaning out my ps4 and applying this thermal paste,it did somewhat help with the overheating issue though.Not much comes in this tube,but alittle can go a long way and i dont think i will need to use this thermal paste for awhile.
Performance
3 to 12 degrees centigrade lower CPU full load core temperatures than standard thermal compounds or thermal pads when measured with a calibrated thermal diode imbedded in the CPU core.
Coverage Area: A 3.5 gram syringe contains enough compound to cover at least 15 to 25 small CPU cores, or 6 to 10 large CPU cores, or 2 to 5 heat plates. At a layer 0.003" thick, the 3.5 gram syringe will cover approximately 16 square inches

Arctic Silver 5 does not contain any silicone. The suspension fluid is a proprietary mixture of advanced polysynthetic oils that work together to provide three distinctive functional phases. As it comes from the syringe, Arctic Silver 5"s consistency is engineered for easy application. During the CPU"s initial use, the compound thins out to enhance the filling of the microscopic valleys and ensure the best physical contact between the heatsink and the CPU core. Then the compound thickens slightly over the next 50 to 200 hours of use to its final consistency designed for long-term stability. (This should not be confused with conventional phase change pads that are pre-attached to many heatsinks. Those pads melt each time they get hot then re-solidify when they cool.
The viscosity changes that Arctic Silver 5 goes through are much more subtle and ultimately much more effective.)
