> 24 hourI own both the 32 and 48 oz versions of this and I love having it. Very easy to clean/sterilize and the screw top is very secure. The top itself is so secure that it takes a little effort to unscrew if you do it too tight but even a modest tightening leaves it secure enough that you need not worry about spilling. The plastic connector that keeps the top on is a nice addition which also provides a loop to hold the bottle from though I wouldnt hook it to a carabiner and go walking with it as I suspect it might grow weak after a few months usage. The price is amazing, the look is fantastic, why use anything else. My co-worker says that made in the usa is also a +10 for this product and I reasonably agree. I used to take 1-liter bottles of water to work as we didnt have access to clean water without $$. 15-bottles at 6.2~ from costco poland spring at 1 or 2 a day (5 d/w, 12 m/y) is anywhere between $6-18 p/m depending on frequency. The 48-ounce silo is about 1.5 liter and if you use that (which is like 12$ on amazon) you save the $6-18 after a month or two. Even if you need to replace it due to an accident/loss whatever, you save money.

> 24 hourAdding my review here because most people seem to review after 3-5 months of use. Im posting a review after 2 years of heavy use! The bottle has successfully survived both hot and cold temperatures for me (from the desert (110F) to cold Alaskan weather (-20F). It is able to handle boiled water well and has been used as a sleeping bag warmer as it lets off heat just slow enough to keep me nice and warm as I fall asleep during sub zero temperatures. As far as durability, the bottle will last you a very long time if you use it in non-gritty environments. Ive used the bottle at home, at work and even at the gym and there wasnt any wear and tear. However, Ive also used it while riding dune buggies, going hiking, doing mud runs, outside rock climbing, accidentally dropping it from a car, etc. It has survived all conditions and is holding strong, albeit all the dings and scratches (which are expected). I have never had an accidental leak either. The cap has been airtight, but shows significant wear and tear. The only real issue Ive had was the aesthetical aspect, but given what Ive put it through, I guess that is expected. Specifically, my bottle shows heavy wear and tear, specifically the measurement marks are completely warn off. Other than that, I was specifically seeking a larger water bottle, so 32 ounces were perfect (38 ounces filled to the brim). Drinking 2.5 of these a day gets you your daily recommended water intake. It also has a surprisingly comfortable grip given its size. Given that, I might have even opted or the taller one that can hold more water. Finally, this water bottle doesnt affect the taste of the liquid at all. Ive used it with RO water, tap water, river water, etc. The taste is as good as it was before. Given the larger cap size, it is fairly easy to clean!

> 24 hourI carry this every day. This is the best water bottle that I have ever used. It has never leaked and I recommend this to everyone that asks about it for that reason. I am considering purchasing another as a back up. My Fiancee even bought one since I liked mine so much. She bought a smaller one that she can throw in her purse (it also has never leaked in her purse). Function: It serves its intended purpose. It holds water, and it holds it very well. It has never leaked on me. It does sweat, but I expected that. Due to my heavy use of it some of the lettering is coming off, although it is still legible. The stripped texture on the lid is very conductive to grip for tightening or removal. It is easier to wash than many bottles I have. I do have trouble fitting it into some cup holders, but I knew it was a larger bottle. Quality: It feels sturdy and looks sturdy. I have dropped it a few times in the house and on tile with no resulting cracks or marks. I have never dropped it on concrete though. I carry this bottle by the strap that holds the cap on. A few people have mentioned that it broke on them. I have not experienced this. I have clipped it up in my range bag before and it has held up well. The only thing that I want to get to complete this is some sort of insulated carrier for it. Nalgene has some proprietary ones and there are a few universal ones that I am looking into.

> 24 hourI have been using this brand basically my entire life and i love them. Its a simple design, suprisingly durable, and made in the USA baby! My old one had had the misfortune of being owned by me; i have dropped, scraped, thrown, sat on, lost in snow, , etc on it and my dog had gotten ahold of it and it was still just as functional as the day i got it. The best part(in my opinion) is i have never gotten that nasty plasticy taste like ya typically would with every other brand. The only thing i could make a fuss about is lack of color choices/customization and i wish they would make a line of tumblers because i prefer straws over gulping from the bottle. 11/10 recommend!

> 24 hourWeve had one of these, which I bought at a sporting goods store, for around 10 years now. It is still in perfect condition minus some minimal scuffs from the dishwasher or being inside a backpack. The ones on Amazon are much cheaper and the quality still looks the same. Were glad we made the switch to BPA free years ago. They also make some Nalgene water bottles with different caps and necks, and they have all been wonderful. My favorite for everyday use at work and school are the newer ones that have a screw on top, but the top has a hinge with an arched topper-thing. The top opens up to reveal a hole about the circumference of a nickel, which gives you plenty of water without a lot of spills, makes refilling from a sink or fountain easier, and makes cleaning a breeze compared to the old style water bottles with pull tops w/ dinky holes to drink from, or straws. These are really important since most non-stainless steel water bottles do have BPA, which can cause all kinds of issues, especially with the hormones of children. We stopped storing our food in plastic containers (using glass ones instead), chose these Nalgene and some ,stainless steel water bottles, etc, and have felt much more relaxed for years now. The bonus over stainless steel is that there is no metal taste from the Nalgene bottle. Finally: My favorite about this particular 32 oz size is that you can practically get your hand in there to scrub it out. I can fit it in the top rack of my dishwasher, though I usually hand wash, and I know it will get clean. If there were visible particles inside it, I would be able to see them better than with stainless steel. The con is for those who need a stainless steel bottle while bugging out or something, as a way to boil and therefore purify their water over a fire or stove. These are lighter...and GSI and Oli sell metal camp cups of high quality (with folding handles) that will fit perfectly onto the bottom of this bottle. Those are about $10 and youd be a lot less likely to burn yourself. With that method, you arent adding a whole lot of weight if any compared to having a stainless steel bottle of this size...and you have a way to avoid burning yourself.

Blunt but Honest
> 24 hourIt’s a bottle. I don’t know what more to say. This isn’t just any bottle though, it’s a bottle for a big man. If you are a little man/woman, it’s not for you. I’m a little man with a big body, not big enough mouth. Was running on treadmill and took a gulp too big. Started coughing, choking on the water that rushed to the back of my throat, didn’t look too good coughing my lungs out after drowning on water. People looked at me like I had the rona. The rona is no joke, but this water bottle is. Strictly for a big person with a big mouth. I would do it again though, just maybe next time when I am a bigger man.
