Beautiful packaging - The product came quickly and in a beautiful gift box. Everything was packaged tightly, labeled, and sealed well. There were five papers, four instructions for the different shiba inu dolls, and one with basic felting instructions. They come with QR codes that you can scan with your phone to find youtube videos (but more on that later). Instructions are difficult to read - Although the product describes itself as being for beginners, I found the instructions hard to read because they seem to be written by someone who is clearly not a native English-speaker. Since this was my first time ever felting, I found myself frustrated at times because of the instructions. Thankfully, felting isnt too hard to figure out so I got the hang of it pretty quickly! QR code led to deleted video - I tried scanning the QR code for the black strawberry shiba inu, the one that I wanted to make first, and discovered that the video no longer existed. It led me to their youtube channel, but their videos were not in English and didnt seem to have English translations. I ended up having to look for a different video. Very fun and definitely worth trying - Despite all of that, I found this really fun and stress relieving. Im a professional artist so it was interesting to try expressing myself in a different art form for the first time. I ended up feeling comfortable enough to stop following the guidelines and do something original with my shiba inu, and I feel very proud of how he turned out! As you can see from the picture, I decided to make him sitting instead of standing, and give him floppy ears. I found that theres a lot of freedom that comes with felting which I was not expecting. I dont regret this purchase at all. I will definitely continue felting in the future, and Im thankful for this product for introducing me to it! Also, I LOVE shiba inus! So thats also a bonus!

This was my first time needle felting. I really enjoyed the kit. It does seem to be missing the pink to make the noses but other than that it was a great starter kit!

It comes in a beautiful gift box (just as pictured!) so I didnt even need to wrap it for my friend for whos birthday I got this for!

Bought this as a Christmas gift so I will not be using it myself. The box did come undamaged and makes a perfect gift box so I do not need to do any wrapping. I think I’ll just tape the sides close so it doesn’t pop open. I’m not sure what the material is on the box but it’s has a nice texture. The bow is cute though it’s clearly just hot glued on along with the ribbon. Had to pull off a glue string, but that wasn’t a problem to me. The only imperfection would be the top left corner right above the bow where there is a small crease in the fabric. But that not a deal breaker, it’s hardly noticeable. Overall, very cute giftable box. As for the contents inside the box. Everything seems to be there. I didn’t want to open anything as it is a gift. I can’t say whether the instructions are easy to follow but it looks like the numbers on the bags coincide with the character in the instructions. So everything you need beside the tools to make one character is all in one bag. I am confident to say everything that was advertise is there even the black eye pegs. If I get any photos from the person I gift this to of anything they make I will be sure to add them and ask how easy it was to follow the instructions.

Fun

This is a really nice kit for beginners with a lot of materials for everything you need to start needle felting. The kit comes with enough material for each cat, some keychains, eyes, hooks, plenty of needles, the pad and directions. The directions included visuals but I had difficulty understanding some steps and getting the textures to look the same. This is a great kit to get started with and use alongside some videos and online tips and tricks to fill in the gaps. This is fun to do with kids or as an adult, I like that it comes with little finger glove protectors but they are pretty small and may not fit your fingers. I felt very comfortable and safe using this set and was able to make a fairly mediocre looking set of cat keychains for my family!

Everything about this product is pretty good, except that the instructions are poorly translated (can be deciphered pretty easily but some things just don’t make sense), and it does not come with the almost realistic looking eyes. The only eyes it comes with are the little black ones, which are okay for the majority of the different little dogs, but the black one just looks creepy!

I thought this was going to be much harder than it was but with the picture and video instructions, I feel like it adequately showed how to easily complete the puppies. You have to us a QR scanner, and it just takes you to the YouTube page so you have to search through the videos to find the right one but once you do one or two you get a pretty good idea of how to create the others. The picture instructions are written in bad English but show detailed enough pictures that it would probably be easy enough to do without the video instructions. I had dabbled in felting slightly a few years ago but this kit gave me so much more experience in just a few days. Ive sold every keychain Ive made since I started!
