> 3 dayIve got some Ubiquiti APs that I dont want to run individual power adapters for. I was looking for a POE switch that could do gigabit as my previous one only did 100mbps. It wasnt a problem until my broadband speed increased to 200mpbs! This is a simple cheap switch with POE and it will do me until such time as I have the motivation to move to a managed network. It plugged in without issue and has been running for a week - simple

> 3 daySimple unmanaged POE switch which is exactly what I wanted to power a Cisco Access point and some Swann security cameras. Just out the box, Plug & Play.

> 3 dayI purchased this to power two Ring Elite cameras mounted in my garage, to reduce power sockets and uplink to a Netgear mesh AP, as its an unmanaged switch, it worked just by Plug and Play. its passively cooled and wall mountable, and has a metal case that will be familiar to long term users of Netgear switches Not sure why there is a need to dumb down the description by calling it an ethernet splitter that phrase is just incorrect on so many levels! ;)

> 3 dayTurns out this hub doesnt support all POE devices - you would need a different model for that. I was unable to get it to power a TP-Link TA-WA801n wifi extender because, according to poat by a netgear tech on their support forum, it operates off a different standard. Another netgear poe hub called GS305PP is needed for that, i.e the same model number as this one but with an extra P on the end. <sigh>

> 3 dayArrived new in the box, plugged it in and it does not power up at all. Tried to get a replacement or refund but nothing. Returns page doesn’t work and Amazon don’t help either. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE!

> 3 dayI used this to take an existing Cat 6 cable and convert into an upstream feed for a new Unifi CCTV system. Mounted in the loft, it acts as the hub for the cameras, that then route back to the main house switch. Being fanless is great, as its in the loft above bedrooms, and being wall mountable it is tidy too.

> 3 dayGreat bit of Kit and unlike other switches has 4 POE ports and one to take the incoming ethernet to the router. I had to buy this one as when I brought the 8 port POE from NETGEAR to power my 8 Network PoE Cameras I was one port short. An error on my part.
