> 3 dayBought this kit for a friend’s baby shower. We tie dyed 16 onesies and it was SO easy to use and mess free. I was nervous about it being a stressful, arduous process but the instructions were easy to follow, there was more than enough dye (with plenty left over) and everyone had fun. The kids created their own onesies (with help from grown ups) and all the women there thought it was so fun and now mama has some memorable onesies as keepsakes. Should I ever tie dye again i would only buy this kit!!

Greater than one weekthe colors look great when applied but faded a lot in the wash. I prewashed my ready-to-dye cotton tshirts from dharma in the recommended detergent. wrapped the dyed shirt in plastic for 24 hours before rinsing out the excess dye. black turned gray, gray to a lighter gray and tan/gold turned to more tan. I still like the shirt but I really had wanted black in the design. this also happened with my tulip dye kit and followed all the directions for both. even used distilled water when mixing the dye.

> 3 dayThis is an awesome monochromatic kit. Good price, nice sizes, and there’s more dye included in the pack (one refill for each color), so you can use it more than just once, like most kits you see at the store. It also came with a ton of rubber bands and gloves.

Greater than one weekI love the colors in here. I want to do some projects solely in coral and I plan to do calico cat inspired tie dyes with the copper and an unrelated black dye. Purple rain cloud is brown no matter how I squint at it, but it is a cool brown. The part white of the shirt turned cream even though I washed it with cool water. The kit didnt come with much soda ash so it worked better to add the ash to the dye instead of soaking the shirt in it. Additionally, my refill dyes packets for coral were actually copper refills.
