I didnt buy it for sun protection. I bought because of one handed operation when Im out a nd about doing errands in my motorized wheelchair. Here in Florida you always have pop-up showers.

The best thing is the auto close button! i also like the pattern.

Easy open and close! I love the animal print, so cute! The only thing that is a very small negative is that there is no accompanying cover that most umbrellas have. I’m not sure if that’s because it has superior wetness repellent or some other reason. I think the most important things to know is that it appears very sturdy and it’s very easy to open and close. It’s not extremely heavy, but it’s not what I would consider “lightweight”. I’ve tried the lightweights in the past, but they are not sturdy and do not open and close very easily. Overall, I would completely recommend this umbrella! Totes is a trusted brand! Over the years, I’ve owned many! Too sad I forget and leave and lose them! Hopefully I’ll hang on to this one for a long time!

i used it when it rained and it was great

It finally rained so that I could test this umbrella. It does pop out quickly when the button is pressed, but because of the strength of that spring, I found it a little difficult to close again. It is a small umbrella, good for folding up and stowing in a bag, but not great coverage in a downpour. Brightly colored, and the water does bead up on the fabric. A couple of shakes and most of the moisture was gone. I left it out on the porch and it was dry in a short time. Well made, I will place it in the bag I carry to work in case I need it.

I love the stripes and colors on this umbrella. More importantly, it is a great, sturdy, umbrella. It randomly rains here during summer; light sprinkles to heavy downpours for five minutes to hours. Its to my benefit to always have an umbrella in the car or my purse. So many times Ive come out of the grocery store and its raining. The totes, one-touch auto open umbrella makes it easy to use the umbrella with one hand. This umbrella shakes off the water easily so its mostly dry after I use it in downpours and dry when its light rain. The Sunguard is a great added feature since I am always leaving my house without sunscreen to run errands. I will be getting a lot of use out of this cool looking, very functional totes umbrella.
