> 24 hourI travel frequently and have formal meetings, and this product has been perfect for all occasions. It looks professional, is easy to hold and share information, even when I am away from a table. I have even accidentally dropped it a couple of times while wearing gloves, but the device is completely fine. I highly recommend this product for people who actively use their iPad!

> 24 hourI bought this for an iPad Air and I really like that this case looks very much like a typical iPhone protective case. I conduct field interviews and record travel expenses on paper and decided to convert to filling forms on the iPad. I found an inexpensive app that creates and fills forms on the iPad and decided to use it. I cant hold the uncased iPad in one hand and write on it because it is so smooth and slides out of my grip so I decided I needed a case that would be easy to hold and provide drop, rain and dust protection for outdoor use. This case is perfect for my needs, It has a solid slip free grip when held at the sides and even has a leather handle on the back to hold the iPad like a paddle. I spent quite a bit of time looking for a case and I started looking for portfolio style cases but I like this better and am very glad this is the one I bought. It is just slightly bigger than the iPad, about 1/8 inch thick or less around the sides. There is a screen protector built into the case and it is not noticeable at all when using the iPad. It arrived well packed with a small instruction book. I was confused at first about how to open the case to insert my iPad but the manufacture website has a video explaining how to open the case and put your iPad into and then seal it up. The written instructions make better sense after seeing the video but once I understood how to open it, I found it easy to open and close. Once you place your iPad into the case there is no reason to open it up again. This is basically a three part case. The iPad fits into the back of the case with the adjustable handle and the front of the case with the screen protector built-in is placed on top. The screen protector is part of the case and does not have to be squeegeed onto the iPad. You dont need a regular screen protector on your iPad with this case. The third piece is a plastic rubber type seal that wraps around the back and squeezes the front and back seams together making the case rain and dust proof, with dust covers for the power and ear jacks. I havent drop or water tested it and dont intend to test it on purpose but it certainly appears to be snow, rain, dust and shock proof. It is not heavy and provides a secure way to hold and use the iPad outdoors or anywhere for that matter. The hand strap and stand can be rotated so that your iPad can be held in portrait or landscape orientation. The stand is built-in behind the handle and it deploys easily to place the iPad on a table in either orientation. This case is just perfect for my needs.

> 24 hourOriginally bought in 2018 for my then 8 year old sons iPad, and 4 years later the kickstand has broken so getting a new one. Otherwise this case is still completely intact and the iPad in it is pristine. This thing gets daily use and abuse by an 8-12 year old and has held in there. It’s been dropped, kicked, spilled, sat on, chewed on by a dog. So very impressed

> 24 hourPros: The New Trent Gladius Air NT611GR is built well and is designed especially for someone who keeps their iPad air with them all day. The handle allows for security, preventing accidental drops and also provides a sturdy hold at various angles. I would highly recommend the New Trent Gladius Air for those who teach or lecture regularly as it is perfect for this type of use. The strap is made of sturdy brown leather—it even includes that wonderful leather smell. The pop-out kickstand pulls out with a little effort, which tells me it is built well. It’s metal, with a sturdy hinge and strong magnet to hold it in place when it’s shut, and then it clicks into place when it’s open. It can be rotated, on the same swivel as the leather handle, which allows the iPad to sit at two different angled heights in either landscape or portrait mode. The New Trent Gladius Air is very sturdy. The iPad is wrapped in a harder rubber/plastic protecting it (and the buttons, charging port, and headpohone jack, etc.) from spills, dust, and bumps and drops. The button covers on the case are not as difficult to press as buttons in some tablet cases tend to be. The New Trent Gladius Air includes a screen protector that is part of the case, and works very well—doesn’t reduce the functions of the touch screen in any way. I searched for days for the right case for my iPad Air. I found many that had a kickstand or a handle. Or I found some that offered protection and a kickstand but no handle. I wanted all three and New Trent Gladius Air offers all of the above, and it even looks cool and is built well, not cheaply. I am a high school teacher and at times I need to hand my iPad to a student as part of different learning activities, but I’m completely comfortable doing this because this case fully protects the iPad from bumps and bruises. I noticed in the one YouTube review that the reviewer didn’t make it obvious how many ways the iPad can sit using the kickstand. That was an important feature to me and it took further research to confirm all the kickstand features. This is one of the most important selling points of the New Trent Gladius Air, I’ve discovered 5 or more different ways it can sit. I ordered one for me and one for another teacher with an iPad Air. Cons: The kickstand needs to click into place a little more strongly. There is a faint click but sometime when the iPad is set down resting on the kickstand, it collapsesf you havent clicked it in all the way. Not a serious issue, just something Ive noticed. Way to go New Trent!!

> 24 hourNew Trent Gladius Air Heavy Duty Case for iPad Air Model NT611GR The Gladius case is a heavy-duty rubber-encased iPad case with a leather hand-strap on the back. This design permits the user to securely hold the unit in one hand, and control the iPad with the other, while standing, walking or moving around. This is the kind of design that is essential for effectively using the iPad in many work situations, as I do using it as a presentation-device in the front of a classroom. The case itself is a three-piece unit, with two halves of a plastic shell that snap together over the iPad, and a silicone/rubber outer case that slides securely into place over the whole unit. This produces a one-piece case that protects the iPad against impact and the elements, with integral screen-protection over the openings for the screen and the front and rear cameras. The iPads buttons remain operational through exterior buttons on the case that directly activate the iPads buttons, while the ports and slider-switch are accessed by rugged fold-out flaps. The tactile operation of the buttons is only somewhat deadened by the case, with the home button requiring a more deliberate push on the outer part of the case to activate. These exterior buttons and flaps are raised and easily found by touch. One additional detail improvement in this latest version of the Gladius case is the presence of smooth glossy plastic strips on the back of the rubberized outer shell, giving spots by which the case might be more easily grasped by the users fingertips when picking up or placing down the unit before you can put your hand in the strap. This is a subtle by very useful improvement in this latest design. The genuine leather handle-strap is adjustable before the case is installed, and very comfortable in use. This strap also rotates 360, allowing the users hand to hold the iPad in the most comfortable position. There is also a clever spring-loaded fold-out metal stand in the case behind the strap, which folds in flush to the case when not in use, but permits the user to stand the iPad upright on a flat surface, albeit only in landscape position. Unfortunately, the durability of this stand is questionable; although it is constructed of two pieces of metal (with a rubber foot to prevent scratching the surface upon which it rests), the pivot-hinge between the two pieces of metal slid apart and the spring popped out. It was easily reassembled, but this was one disappointing defect in an otherwise well-constructed case. The Gladius case uses an integral screen-protector in place of a separate cover for screen-protection. The advantage of this design is that the unit functions as a one-piece cover that is always ready for use, with no separate cover to detach or fold back. The integral screen-protector in this latest version is more durable than the earlier version, which was prone to scratching from my Jot Touch Pro stylus; this latest version showed no scratches whatsoever, even under heavy use. The screen-protector is on the glossy-side, which is not my personal preference, and this glossy surface does show finger-smudges quite readily. While the screen-protector usually transfers your touch to the screen, under extended use I found it diminished the responsiveness of the iPad to my stylus. Overall, the utility and security of this style case makes it an excellent choice for a user who needs the iPad to be protected from the elements and impacts, and who needs to just grab it and start using it without worry about dropping it. The Gladius would serve as an excellent case for someone who needs to use the iPad in a work environment, outdoors or, like me, while you are on your feet in front of a classroom. Highly Recommended: 4.5 out of 5

> 24 hourThis is a review of the New Trent case for a 5th generation ipad. The case includes a built in screen protector, a rotating stand with a metal snap out support and a hand grip. The metal support is what sold me on this case. While its difficult to tell from pictures alone, other cases having a snap out support appear to have a plastic support instead of metal. Another feature that sold me was the rotating stand. It turns a full 360 degrees with locks every 45 degrees. What this means to me was I could place the iPad in a upright position for viewing or a less inclined position for typing. It really works well. Instructions remind you not to rotate the stand with the support extended. The grip was another feature I looked for to make it easier to hold the iPad with one hand. Plus the grip length is adjustable. I was surprised when the case arrived 2 days early. Behind not a prime member and cheap I took the free shipping option deciding to wait on the case. Delivery took 4 days. Well worth the wait. The case ships in a nice box with instructions. Assembly isnt that hard. Put the iPad in the case bottom properly aligned. Clean the iPad screen with the included screen cleaner (2 included) in a dust free location, remove the protective film from the inside of the screen protector and snap the front onto the case. Then work the bumper around the case to complete the install. Finally remove the protective film from the outside of the screen protector and your done. Overall the iPad is well protected. There are tabs that seal the openings for power and earphones. The camera is well protected front and back. The screen protector works very well. I have not seen any contamination on the inside. It does really nice and is very responsive. Have removed the iPad from the case. Reinstalling after a good screen cleaning was perfect. What I did not test was how would the case fit if the iPad had an installed screen protector. I believe if the existing screen protector was tempered glass the case would not snap tightly around the iPad ... Even removing screen protector would not provide enough clearance for the tempered glass. Basically use the screen protector installed in the case only. NEGATIVES: 1) its a heavy case they becomes a little tiresome to hold for long periods. 2) its a bulky case. But it has to have bulk to fulky protect the device. 3) The grip adjustability consists of 2 sets of holes about 6mm apart. You may find the grip not tight enough even for larger hands. The inability to adjust the grip tighter made it more difficult for me to hold the case. I wrapped some bubble wrap around the grip to allow me to hold it more securely. 4) i am unsure of the longevity of the grip. Its a type of plastic that looks like leather. I think it might stretch over time. Lets be clear... It hasnt stretched on me yet. The case more then meets my expectations. Highly recommended

> 24 hourI bought this case to replace the functionality of the Turn Tablet that I had for my ipad 2 (which is great if youre looking for a similar case for an older model). I got much more than I expected with it: Protection: 4/5 If youre working outside, this case seems like the one for you. While I wouldnt necessarily throw it in a pool or against the concrete like you might be able to do with a much more expensive rugged case, it is perfect for being in the elements or getting caught in a random Florida rain shower. I love the fact that the screen is covered. I havent had the gap between the screen protector and the ipad screen that other people have mentioned and I have pushed buttons all the way from one side of the screen to the other with no problem. It is still smooth and I dont feel like I have to tap extra hard or anything. The only problem is that it does add a little extra glare, but nothing unusable. Build Quality: 3.5/5 Overall it is a very sturdy case. It comes in three pieces: the bottom plastic shell, the top plastic edge with the screen protector and the outer TPU rubber casing that goes over them once they are snapped together. The outer shell has the rubber flaps and covers for the buttons, lightning jack and headphone jack that are nice and dont feel flimsy at all. I have two concerns. First, the leather strap (which is adjustable to some extent) is attached inside the back shell with plastic posts that are flared on top so the strap cant slide off. You pop 2 holes on either side of the strap over the posts to choose your length. Heres the concern: the holes in the strap are literally just that, holes in the leather. Between actually picking up and holding the iPad from the strap and the fact that it is the main focus point of the pressure when you turn it to a different angle, I could see these holes, or the strap itself, stretching out over time. I would say I have average sized hands and I have to have the strap on the smallest setting, so if it were to stretch I have no room to tighten it back down. Maybe if there were metal eyelets around the holes it would protect it? We will see. I will update this review if that happens anytime soon. My second concern is the plastic clips that hold the two pieces of the plastic shell together. They are not hinged, but typical plastic clips that snap together. There are a lot of them, so that is good, but I do feel like at some point I will break one trying to open the case to get the iPad out. If you plan to use the case everyday and not remove it, dont worry about this, is, but I really only use this case when I need to for work, so its constantly in and out. In the event that one does break, it wouldnt be the end of the world seeing as there are so many of them and once the two pieces are together the TPU shell wraps tightly around them anyway, but still a build quality concern. Form/Function: 5/5 This case fits snugly, looks good and is very comfortable to hold. It is much thinner than some of the other cases like it that I have used and the hub that houses the handstrap is flush with the back of the case which is really nice. The turning of the hand strap locks into place every 45° which is exactly what it needs. I use my iPad in my hand in landscape mode and it it were to only lock into place in direct portrait or landscape, your hand would have to be at a really uncomfortable angle to use it. The turning hub took a little breaking in at first, but now it moves easily between the positions. One note: the picture looks an awful lot like it comes with a built in bottle opener...not the case. The stand than pulls out of the back of the case looks to be all metal and is very sturdy. Some stands hold your ipad up, but if you go to actually type or tap them they wobble all over, but this one is completely stable. Instructions: 4/5 The case came with paper instructions on how to insert your iPad and also a link to a video showing how to do it. They were detailed enough that I had no problem figuring out the case, but not so much that it was overwhelming by any means. Both of these included a section on adjusting the strap length and mentioned flipping up door flaps inside the shell of the case to access the attachment points of the strap, only my case didnt have any door flaps. I could still adjust the strap no problem, but was a little concerned that the instructions and the video both showed a piece that I didnt have. I emailed New Trent and they told me that that part of the case had been redesigned and the doors were made redundant. They are still in the process of updating both the printed instructions and the video. No problem. A quick note about the manufacturer. I contacted support to let them know about the missing flap doors on a Sunday night, first thing Monday morning I had a human response. Companies with fast customer service always get points in my book. Overall I really love this case. Well see if any of my concerns pan out; maybe Im just not putting enough confidence in a smaller case manufacturer. Only time will tell... But until then I will continue to love the Gladius Air.

> 24 hourMy iPad Air is still relatively new but I have been using iPads since the iPad 1. In all that time I have tried and got rid of no less than 20 cases of different types and styles. I just received my New Trent NT611GR case delivered today and I can tell I will be using this case for a long time. I did as most people when getting a new item, I quickly opened it and started to follow the instructions, iPad in hand. I recommend you dont do this with this case. Read all of the instructions before beginning. The instructions for adjusting the hand strap are listed after the instructions for putting the case onto the ipad. Adjusting the hand strap (if you have small hands) requires it to be adjusted from inside the case prior to putting it together. I, however, have large hands and do not require any adjustment so was lucky or I would have needed to take it all apart again. The instructions provided are very easy to follow. On the rubber outer shell is a small arrow and if you start there the case disassembles with ease. The iPad fits firmly inside the hard inner case and the rubber outer shell provides even stronger protection and provides small doors that cover the access points to the iPad such as headphone jack and charging cable port. Being as this is only my first day using the case I will tell you my first impressions and add additional comments after I have used it for a while. The primary pros to this case are noticeable instantly when you install it around your iPad. The ease of fitting the case is outstanding. There is a link included on the instructions to where you may observe a video that walks you through the installation. Once the case is on you will notice one very large difference between it and other cases with screen protection, this one does not have any of the oil spots that show up common in these type of cases. I use my iPad to take pictures periodically. I was concerned that the plastic covers would distort the camera but again was pleasantly surprised. I had no noticeable distortion or blurriness of any kind with this case. The case is dust, shock and water resistant. I never had the will to test a case when it came to water and my electronics but thanks to my dog this was also tested in part. Water was spilled onto the screen and side of the case. I dried it off with a towel and noticed that none of the water, not even a hint of moisture, had made it into the case. I would not submerge the case but if you are in a rain area or have clumsy dogs, you will love this case and the peace of mind that comes with it. The only Cons that I have noticed in my one day of using the case is the instructions having the adjustment of the hand held in a section after the installation instruction portion and the stand that is on the back of the case. It resembles a bottle opener (and may even function as one in an emergency) but it is difficult to open the stand initially. I was afraid I was pulling at the wrong place and feared breaking the case but then it popped open. I suspect this is because it is new and needs to be worked a bit. Once extended the stand is firm and strong. It supports the case very well and unlike many of the similar style cases, it does not slide around on the table top. A lot of cases have a hard edge to them surrounding the iPad. This causes the cases to be slippery both when held and especially when you try to draw or write on the iPad while on a stand. This case was so well thought out it has the rubber outer shell covering each edge and that provides a non-slip surface. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and since I travel to the beach frequently I needed one that could handle the moisture coming from the ocean as well as protect the iPad from any blowing sand or damage should I drop it. This case appears to meet all of my needs.

> 24 hourI bought this a couple years ago and it has held up great! It still looks and functions perfectly! Very happy with this case!
