I needed an adapter to use a cable with my fostex headphone. The stock cable is CRAZY long and kinda stiff- 10 feet. The shorter cable I own is balanced, and this adapter lets me use that same length cable with headphone amp without balanced output. It works and sounds great. Seems very well made. I think it’s a little spendy for what it is, but I would buy again.

Works well if you’re looking to convert your balanced cable end to a 1/4” or 3.5mm stereo jack. You will lose the advantage of running a balanced cable, so use one of these if you have no other choice. Seems well made and having the two different jack options makes this a versatile solution.

I put XLR cables (made by Periaptcables) on my Sennheiser and Audeze headphones. This adapter lets me use those fancy headphones with my tube amps, my Dragonfly, and my other portable amps (none of which have an XLR socket in them) without swapping headphone cables. I just click on the adapter (it latches securely onto the XLR plug) and I’m good to go. The adapter is solidly built and doesn’t change the sound at all. I’ve had no problems with drop outs or any other audio issues common to third-party cables.

Does the trick. Needed this to convert my noisy 1/4 jack to balanced XLR and BOOM: interference gone.

This is a very useful adapter that appears to be high quality. I cant detect any negative effect on sound quality.

I am not sure of the material in the wire but it definitely kills some high frequency compared to Forza adapter. This may be a good thing or bad thing based on your need and headphones you have. I have Forza Claire Extenders . Forza Claire cables are carefully hand braided using 8-strands of FAW 7N (99,99999%) OCC Cryo copper and they say to reduce the EMI. That will set you back by around $75~80. I can definitely see FAW has more clarity. I was surprised to see even adapter can change so much of sound signature. If you think your HF is sibilant and harsh try out these adapter they may help you out. However I connected the Meze Empyrean using these adapter with my Mojo connected to iPhone and i got lot of EMI so these adapters are definitely not removing any EMI.Please note Mojo connected to iPhone on 4g brings lot of EMI so it is not something coming due to Adapter. However for me they are 5 star for the price as it brings positive change to my HD600 which I am running with Dekoni hybrid pads. It brings down the little spark that 600 has and I like it.
