> 3 dayPurchased these to replace 11W incandescent string lights to save energy and hopefully last much longer. They look really nice in person, the long LED strips look more like a traditional bulb than other LED lights, which is very important for the hanging, visible way they are being used. The light is nice and warm, which is great for a patio, but would probably be too warm for interior use. They are brighter than the older 11W bulbs but use 1/5 of the power (for 18 bulbs, this is 36W vs. 198W) so I feel less bad about leaving them on, although realistically, they will take a very long time to pay for themselves on energy savings alone (~$.004/hr vs. ~$.02/hr at $.11/kWh would need ~650 days at 4hrs daily use to break even) but if you consider the cost of replacing incandescent bulbs several times over a few years, versus hopefully never replacing these, it is worth it! They are also very dimmable, so that I can still match the brightness of the old bulbs, while using even less power, but can turn them up if I need more light. I am using a z-wave smart dimmer with them. To me it looks like they can dim much lower than the advertised 50%. Their pricing is a little annoying however, because in this pack they are quite reasonable, but I need 24 bulbs, not 18. They also sell a 3-pack, but for the price of two 3-packs I can get a another 18-pack, but I dont have any use for extra bulbs! 9/17/18 update: all of the bulbs still work after two years of near daily use outdoors. They are under a roof but still exposed to rain and snow if there is much wind. They worked great right through the winter and seem unaffected by the cold. 10/24/19 update: Everything is still working great! No bad bulbs. I think they may have actually paid for themselves by now!

Greater than one weekI am a big fan of these bulbs but not a fan of the marketing. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because: A.) I received a box with a broken bulb B.) There are only two (really only one if you consider the price of the small pack) buying options C.) The price fluctuates A LOT D.) You have to screw them down unexpectedly tight or they wont work at all... The weld (or lack thereof) on the bottom of the bulb is very low-profile Ive bought these bulbs twice and saved over $20 waiting on this product to come down in price. Other than the above gripes, the bulbs work wonderfully and they are quite handsome. They have an accurate (although slightly over-bright) mellow/yellow hue that has a very antique-feel. You can use a dimmer on these and that is a big plus. I would buy these again (although I wont need to with all the extras I have due to the lack of buying options :-)

> 3 dayWe use these bulbs on a string in our screen room. I’m a guy who keeps track of product claims by manufacturers. I just replaced two bulbs that I marked with a date of installation. The date they were installed was 10/29/22 and I replaced them today, 04/29/23. They are on an Alexa timer that turns them on at 7 pm and off at 10 pm. There are times that we use them longer than that but they get a daily use of 3 hours. You be the judge of whether or not that suits you.
