Seriously, this lens is beautiful. The bokeh you can get with the wide aperture is just amazing. I very rarely take it off my camera. Perfect for portraits, weddings, everything. Shoots incredibly in low light too!

Better then the 700 dollar lens my Nikon d750 came with. I prefer this lens to alot of other lenses and the price is more then reasonable. Pictures are crisp and the lens lets just the right amount of light in especially with the hood on. I will keep this lens around forever. Thanks for making a nice lens nikon. I just got this today, and I think its become my new favorite lens. Its very light but made well, as every Nikon/Nikor product is. I used it on a few of my bodies. On my Nikon D5100, It actually works equivalent to a 75mm, however that said it works like a 50mm. Confused? Dont be! This is a piece of glass you need in your bag. It very clear, crisp and exact. Great uses are Portrait, Bokeh and Macro. My ideal use is for candid or street Photography. Its non obtrusive size/shape means getting closer to a subject to draw them into the image versus having a 2D feel. The Lens helps bring back the human aspect, I shoot RAW and with this lens and various filters you can have a GREAT lens package that brings out the art in photography vs it all being post edits. I will say that with both my main bodies, I had to tinker with the settings to find what i prefer but spending the day playing and experimenting is a great exercise for any budding hobbyist or pro. I cant recommend this lens and the practical uses it has. The lens arrived VERY well packed via Fed Ex, It comes with a 58mm Hood, as well as a velvet weighted bottom drawstring bag (Nice touch). Fits standard 58mm Filters. I also used this on my D3000, D4s and D700
