> 3 dayI like the lens but it blocks a large portion of the AF assist light even without the hood! Nikon, why would you place the AF assist light in a position where one of your first native Z-mount lenses would block it? Why? Please come up with a way to add an AF assist light such as on a flash. I really hope your next flash will have an AF assist light that works with the Zs and uses lithium ion batteries. I wanted to stop using AA batteries 15 years ago!

> 3 dayI was amazed at the quality of the pictures. Sharpness is top notch till F16. At F22, diffraction takes a bite out of the sharpness, but who uses f22! Near distortion free. Amazing build quality. Not overtly big like the f mount version. Just the perfect lens for your everyday needs if you are a pro.

Greater than one weekIn the most modest way, I can afford this lens but since I have the FTZ adapter for my Nikon Z5 I said, there is NOOO WAY I am going to spend $2K on the same lens I can buy for a fraction of the price as an F-mount version. I ordered the F-mount(non-VR) and was actually very happy with it, the images? Super sharp and clear! What bothered me about the F-mount version was that when you use it for video you can hear the motor focusing so your video is pretty much unusable if you try to use the continuous focus mode. I thought about it for a few days and finally decided to send it back and get my $600 plus dollars back but I still said to myself, theres nooo way I am going to pay $2K though, but then I sold it to myself by saying, well I am already almost $700 invested so might as well just pay the dam difference and if its not the Godsent lens the internet swears it is, its going RIGHT BACK!!
