> 24 hourOrdered this along with the console and Joy-Con Charging Grip. Everything arrived the monday after launch, plugged the Pro Controller in to play BoTW, and enjoyed my first day of use. Fire the console and controller up on the 2nd day, and both sets of shoulder buttons dont respond on the Pro Controller. I shouldve returned it sooner or given it a review sooner, but it is what it is now. Im basically out $70 USD now. I still have the Joy-Con Charging Grip, so i dont know if i wanna spend another 70 to have it possibly fail again update (7/8/2018): 2nd controller purchased in June of last year. and got great use out of it, but, unfortunately, I cannot play MK8DX anymore as its now pulling to the left

> 24 hourThe price was indeed painful, but for what it is I think its worth it. Here is why I think so: - Hours of battery life. There are people who says the battery lasts up to 40 hours, and in these last few months I dont doubt that. - The feel of it is so great. This is a 1000% step up from the joy on grip. Big to hold, nice solid responsive buttons. - DEFINITELY a step up from split joycons as you probably could have guessed. You can play multiplayer games with both joycons (I use them without grips), and the pro controller. Also, you can count the pro controller as a 3rd controller if two others use split joycons. So over all, an additional controller. These are the key reasons why I think the controller is worth the investment. Edit: I forgot to mention a very huge plus: The Pro controller pairs with the System as smoothly as the Joycons. That is a huge huge plus over many third party controllers. You dont have to worry about remembering the extra adapter to play in tablet mode with others.

> 24 hourI bought this controller to use when my switch is docked, but unfortunately I had to return it. The controller was generally pretty good, but had in my opinion a fatal flaw: the d-pad. The d-pad is way too sensitive, and judging from many online reviews it seems like a poor design rather than a defect with my specific controller. First of all you can press the entire d-pad down from the middle, which is kind of weird because the d-pads Ive seen in the past generally pivot around a center point that does not depress. But the issue is that pressing left/right buttons on the d-pad and applying even the tiniest force in the vertical axis will trigger up/down presses. There are videos of this on youtube which match my experience exactly, leading me to believe this is not just a single instance defect. Aside from that, I also found the analog sticks a little too tall. This may not be a problem for others, but after getting used to the stubby joycon analog sticks it was hard to get used to the tall analog sticks on the pro controller. It wasnt a problem in BOTW, but affected my gameplay in Puyo Puyo Tetris, where I found it hard to be precise with the pro controller. Maybe the sensitivity is a little off here too, since I found myself making a ton of misdrops even though I dont make any with the joycons. To summarize: The d-pad alone ruins this controller, and it seems to be a widespread issue. If you press the d-pad buttons at any angle other than directly head on, prepare to get phantom presses in other directions. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because of the other redeeming qualities. Pros: - Comfortable size and weight - Comes with a nice quality USB-C cable - Buttons are large and clicky, layout is nice - Build quality is seems solid - Looks nice Cons: - Expensive - D-pad is way too sensitive! Shoutout to Amazon for processing my return so quickly, no questions asked. Yall continue to offer some of the best customer service Ive seen.

> 24 hourThis controller feels comfortable to hold, the buttons are very responsive, the analog sticks are easy to move with precision, its basically perfect if you want to just use it for your Switch. Its definitely better than Joycons. I had a really hard time getting it to work on my PC though. It took me many headache inducing hours of downloading drivers, installing different programs, switching to different USB wires and ports, and I only got it to work by seemingly random chance. After FINALLY getting it to actually work on my computer though, I have loved using it for steam games and emulators. tl;dr the controller works really well, but be prepared for frustration when trying to use it for PC.

> 24 hourAt first, I was a little hesitant to buy the Pro Controller (price, obviously) for my Switch, but I caved and bought it from Amazon anyway. Once I received it, holy cow, I was impressed! The buttons, joysticks, and motions are very responsive. The vibrations from the HD rumble is really detailed, unlike anything Ive experienced from my past controllers. The battery lasts a long time, I was playing Mario Kart 8 and Odyssey for a few hours every day for a few weeks before I finally had to recharge it. I cannot give you my answer on the NFC touchpoint, because I dont own an Amiibo, yet. The only issue I have is that Nintendo should make the home and capture buttons stand out a little more, so I dont have to keep looking down at my controller when my thumb couldnt find one of them. If youre looking to buy a regular controller for your Switch, I recommend getting the Pro Controller!

> 24 hourGreat for gamers with adult-sized hands. It’s not the Duke, but it is a huge improvement over the diminutive out-of-the-box controller.
