Noctua NF-A14 PWM, Premium Quiet Fan, 4-Pin (140mm, Brown)

I actually returned two of these because I decided to use the fans that came on my case. I would give 5 stars to have them back. These are the best case fans. Quiet and powerful. I used them on other computer cases but I wanted to try something new. Regrets. Just buy the Noctuas.

Replaced my case fans and the fan on my liquid cooling unit. Very quiet even under heavy load. Makes gaming more enjoyable since theres not fan noise competing with game sounds.

I built my PC a few weeks ago once I was lucky enough to get my hands on a 30 series graphics card and had bought a 140mm NF-A14 (elsewhere, not from Amazon) to use as an exhaust fan since my Phanteks P500A DRGB did not come with one. I liked that one; it was very silent, and although it started to become audible around 1000rpm, the sound was a whooshing of air, no motor noise at all. Because my front fans were very loud, I decided to buy 3 more Noctua fans from Amazon to replace them as I had been very impressed with my exhaust fan.

I recently bought both the 120 and 140mm versions of this item and I can say that without a doubt the 120mm version is quiet without any undervoltage or other modifications. This 140mm version however is a stark difference. When I first turned it on I presumed that it was brushing on some cables or something that would cause a propeller like noise. This however was not the case as the fan was completely clear of any obstructions. I used the provided Noctua low-noise adapter and it has helped a bit. However the stock fan is quiet noisy, even my 200mm case fans pale in comparison to the noise generated by this one fan. I will be avoiding this fan if I ever need another 140mm fan.

Fan is silent when running! Super quiet!

I didnt do a lot of temperature checks before I bought them but my components were running hotter than I liked. These fans immediately cooled them down about 10 degrees vs the previous ones that came with the case. On top of that they are so quiet that even though I could see the temps dropping, I had to keep opening the case to make sure they were working. Your tastes may vary but I loved that the didnt have any LEDs on them. I couldnt get the rubber noise dampeners that connect it to the case to work so I just said screw it and they are still super quiet.

Great fan and its super quite! So far no problems with this fan. Seems to be reliable as Ive had my PC for over and year and its slightly overclocked. Would recommend.
