Mounted in a mini PC in my living room. The PC is an entertainment computer attached to my TV. I needed the device to be silent. I can put my ear right by the PC case and not hear the fan. 100% perfect.

Much better than what was going on before with the fractal design R4 case. I have a ASRock Taichi MB that has 4 4 pin fan connections. If your MB supports 4 pin PWM fan control then you should use 4 pin PWM fans. The fantastic fan control SW that comes with the Taichi does a good job of tuning the fans so that they ramp up as needed . Im running 3 of these fans along with a MSI Froz L CPU cooler and this system is now as quiet as its going to get. These fans are a good upgrade from 3 pin ones that came with the R4.

I like the color of these much better than the old fleshy color ones. Theyre just as quiet.

Bought for around $15, these fans are a great edition to any cases cooling management. Very quiet, I noticed after adding a couple to my case that the temps dropped from 70s to mid 60s under normal (gaming/streaming) loads.

These things are quiet and push a lot of air. Also love the Grey option over the mor.al noctua brown.

Pwm (4 pin) is great because you get to control the fan speed. At max speed (1200 rpms) they are a little noisy but not loud and are moving a lot of air. I feel that this is a good max without being excessive although I could see this max being slightly underwhelming. In which case you could opt for higher rpm limits.

Ive built my last 2 PCs exclusively with Noctua fans and had a consistently great experience. Bought one recently, and the cost-cutting was immediately obvious. The rubber mounting pads are no longer included like before. Why cant this be advertised? Its a hard plastic body like any other fan. They dont include the rubber mounting screw nipples, just regular aluminum screws now. For $17 a fan! Most importantly, this Noctua fan is louder than the generic Silverstone included case fan that was in there before! Its also frustrating they include no instructions in the box, and no software from Noctua to control fan speeds. The whole point of Noctua fans was theyre supposed to be quieter than other brands, hence the price premium. What I learned today: brand loyalty is for suckers. Do yourself a favor and just buy the cheapest fans you can buy.
