> 3 dayFantastic fan. Fantastic adapters, Fantastic packaging. Noctua really does create an experience out of opening up a computer fan. The fan itself is dead quiet and runs at the given fan speed. The adapters alone make this package worth well the money over the long run as I dont have to worry purchasing additional adapters for fans because Noctua supplies them all! Great fan, but if you want a meatier fan for radiators or heatsinks, get the NF-F12 instead.

> 3 dayI have nothing but Noctua fans in my case! After trying every fan out there (Corsair, Coolermaster, Cougar, Thermaltake, etc) Noctua always wipes the floor with them. I have an Corsair Hydrocooler H60 and with the stock Corsair fan my CPU temps at idle were around 25c but with Noctua fans its around 16c! Dont buy any other fan if you want maximum cooling!

> 3 dayAdding just one of these to my NZXT H230 dropped my Sapphire Radeon VAPOR-X R9 280X Temp by 5C while playing Sniper Elite 3. I got one empty spot and 2 stock fans I want to replace. Ill be getting 3 more of these.

> 3 dayI bought these originally, not knowing that my system needed 3 pin connectors. I could have still used these fans with the 4 pin connectors but I would have needed to get a pair of adapters. Thats okay, I will hang onto them for a future system build.

The NF-S12A marks the third generation of Noctua’s signature S12 series quiet case fans, which have received more than 250 awards and recommendations from the international press. Featuring a further refined blade design with Anti-Stall Knobs that works in tandem with the new AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frame, the NF-S12A improves the airflow/noise efficiency of its renowned predecessor by up to 8%. The PWM version sports Noctua’s custom designed NE-FD1 IC for fully automatic speed control via 4-pin fan headers and comes with a Low-Noise-Adaptor to reduce the maximum speed during PWM control from 1200 to 900rpm. Anti-Stall Knobs
The NF-S12A"s Anti-Stall Knobs reduce flow separation phenomena in medium to high impedance situations and thereby increase the fan"s stall margin. This means that the NF-S12A is even more versatile than its renowned predecessor and can achieve better performance on heatsinks and radiators.
