> 3 daySo quiet. I used this to replace a 20dB fan in a NAS in my bedroom. It is so quiet that I was not sure if it was running at first. After opening the case to verify, I was happy to see that Noctua has improved upon their already amazing line of computer fans. The added ability for this fan to be controlled by the motherboard was great because I use a minimal Linux system and do not have room for a dedicated fan controller. I have not found any problems with the fan so far, and it has been running continuously since the day I received it.

> 3 dayWith regard to the Noctua NF-S12B redux-1200 PWM fan: They are relatively inexpensive but (to me) are much noisier than the spec indicates. Late at night or when there is little ambient noise, they can be easily heard when spinning up to handle a temp increase (via PWM). The elevated sound is a smooth whoosh -- not tremendously bothersome but still very noticeable.

> 3 dayIm using this fan as a exhaust in my PC case, and it certainly is doing a great job at it. The fan is running close to 1000RPM, and while still being very quiet, Im really impressed by this fan, and with the value of it. I will definitely keep Noctua on top of my list when buying new fans.

> 3 dayVery quiet, no PWM tick. Not as ugly as usual Noctua fans, but I wish they would just make a black or dark gray one.One star off because Noctua just cant make a good looking fan, despite the age of PCs with viewing windows.

> 3 dayThis is cheap range fan from expensive brand. Does its job well. Almost silent. Would like to compare with the same fan but chromax. Maybe materials will make a difference. Just remember something. You want to put this fan on the exhaust. Not intake or heatsink but exhaust by the Io panel.
