EDIT as of 3/26/2020: I ended up returning this cooler and going with a different cooling solution. The idle and load temps in my case (Thermaltake core v1) were far too high for my liking after a burn in period. This cooler has a MAX of 65W TDP and Noctua is serious about it. Despite the temps, this cooler is very quiet, and I am not knocking any stars as it looks great and would do a great job on a less intensive CPU, like a Ryzen 3 or similar.

Difficult cooler to use, do not use the paste they send.

Amazing low profile cooler. Mine is cooling a Ryzen 5 1600 AF. Low noise levels and exceptional cooling (when gaming roughly 60C , under Cinebench R20 load about 72 C). Im sure that changing the fan out for a larger one would improve temps but I’m happy with it so far.

Very quiet and all black. Doesnt have the noctua logo on the fan like some. The best low profile air cooler

Works perfectly on my AMD Radeon 9 5900x 12-core porcessor. Highest temperature Ive seen is 90C.

Same great performance I was getting from my old NH-L9a-AM4, but black. Looks very nice in my S4M.

This is not quiet by any means. Yes its silent at 20%, but at 40-50% its already very loud, and at full speed.. lets say its worse. In addition, its very hard to install, because the cooler and the backplate have to be kept together when you put the screws, which go from the bottom up. You cant install one first and then the other. So I ended up making a sandwich with the cooler upside down, then the motherboard on top of it (fortunately its a mini itx), then the backplate, and with luck I got the screws in. Cooling is pretty bad too, at 50% fan speed and full load for a 65W cpu I have 70-71C, which is far more than I ever had with air cooling, but sure, its well within range of operating temperature.

Running this cooler on an ultra mini case and keeps the 5600x around 50 to 60c. This cooler is absolutely perfect for low power processors

I bought this cooler to replace my AIO that was in my SFF build. It is quiet but I do think my CPU runs a bit hotter now, but not a lot. I bought it to match the rest of my noctua fans. I recommend this fan to anyone with a low profile build.
