Came in on time, great high performance cpu cooler. Bigger than I expected but ended up with a perfect fit. Just make sure you have clearance in the case youre installing it to before buying. Apart from that, no complaints. Works super well & for anyone who wants to OC quietly on a fan without a AIO water cooler.

The cooler I received proved difficult to install. There were moments I wondered if Id be able to install it at all. After some research, I found some others had the same experience. My D-15(S) that Id gotten some years back was a breeze to install compared to this NH-U12A, and still is.

I have this little guy cooling an i9-9900K at its stock clocks and does an absolutely fantastic job. I actually bought this cooler to replace a one-year-old NH-D15 as the size of that thing was just crazy and made working on my PC a bit more troublesome.

The fins are supposed to be soldered to help with heat transfer correct? Well, the dude/gal assembling them, bent the last three and f-ed up on the correct positioning, theres an uneven spacing between the last solder points, and the fins are bent because of this, no clue how it got past quality control as well but here we are

I have a i9-9900k that was cooled with a 2 fan water cooler. It never did very well. I prefer to keep my full load temps below 70C so i adjust cpu frequency to compensate. I was struggling at 3.9-4.1Ghz with the water cooler so i decided to try this Noctua NH-U12a Air cooler. Wow! I am at 4.7GHz and temps are hovering around 53 to 58C. Now i need to go back into BIOS and raise the limit back to 5Ghz and see how things go but first I want to see a week or so running as is and watch the temps and freq just to really confirm what i am seeing for the last 8 hours

Using this to cool a 9900k at 5.0 all core with no issues at all. 5.0 all core is possible but runs high in stress tests, which are not a typical load. But during gaming I rarely spike above 70c.
