Noctua NH-U12A, Premium CPU Cooler with High-Performance Quiet NF-A12x25 PWM Fans (120mm, Brown)

Wanted a air cooler instead of liquid cooling for Intel i7 10070k ( can get very hot) and that would clear my case width. Doing research this Noctua was ideal. After using installing idle temps were around 27-31c which is nice so far under some loads have not seen extreme temps and fans do not even run much past 750rpms.

Absolutely brilliant. But the brace bracket for the rear of the motherboard left a 1mm gap but wasnt a problem as I used one that was already in. On stress tests on a i9 9900k 5ghz its average temp was 58c with a minimum 35c Im very happy with this

Sono ormai tanti anni che mi assemblo i PC ho provato quindi svariati dissipatori, enermax coolor master ecc...di cui anche laboriosi dissipatori a liquido e sempre con risultati poco accettabili.

Comme à chaque fois avec Noctua, le produit, les accessoires sont aussi soignés que lemballage. La notice et les schémas de montage sont parfaitement compréhensibles. Cest un peu plus cher que la concurrence, mais cest le meilleur au niveau qualité.

Noctua o piace o non piace. Se non ti interessano led rgb sbriluccicosi ma pensi principalmente alla sostanza questo è il dissipatore che fa per te. Riesce a competere tranquillamente con sistemi AIO medio/piccoli mantenendo un livello di rumore contenuto e un affidabilità impareggiabile. E poi il marrone non è poi così male!

Può non piacere il colore cacarella, ma come raffreddamento ad aria è imbattibile.

It can be hard to justify the price even with the upgraded fans, however it is a cooling beast and likely dont even need rear fans in smaller cases.

This CPU cooler is replacing a different tower cooler. Both that old one and the NH-U12A are around the same size, and their fans spin at the same rpm. In spite of this I noticed a substantial temperature drop of 5°C in the extreme stress testing software prime95. The temperature drop is smaller under most realistic use cases, but this still gave me enhanced stability with my overclock.

Very well made, mounting hardware strong enough to withstand stress, easy to install, quiet. Fan mounting height adjustable so can tweak to RAM height. Delighted with this CPU cooler.

Yes it is big, but easy to install and the fans are SILENT! Easy install without doing a lot of jumping jacks. Ive built computers for myself for over 40 years. Yes, its probably easier for me but this one is no big deal for a beginner. Dont touch the top of the cpu or the bottom of the cooler. Finger oils are bad. You get 20 times the amount of thermal compound you need so just use what they say. With the skins off and my ear 2 inches away it is very hard to hear the fans. Not doing much now and its 28 C (82 F). With the stock AMD cooler it was almost double.
