Great Fan, keeps my computer at perfect temperature

Noctua has a reputation of high quality products and this CPU cooler is no exception. Suffice to say, its not just that they built a cooler that works well and is very quiet but the extra cables, adapters and mounting options marry quality and function with value.

Fits on Cooler Master Silencio S400 and effectively dead silent when low load.

Installation did require removal of the mother board to install backer bracket but I knew this going into it. It allowed me to do a very thorough cleaning of the case, MB, video cards and PS. That being said, everything else was simple and fairly quick. The mounting system is rock solid and I dont worry at all about cooler movement. This fan cools much more efficiently at much lower rpm so theres alot less fan noise, as well as (so far) never having to go more than a very few rpms for my most taxing games. A major improvement, wish I hadnt waited to have an overtemp alert on the old fan before switching to this one. If youre going to go air and not liquid cooled, this is the way to go.

I replaced a Wraith Prism with this cooler, and its like I have a different PC its so quiet! I always heard that Noctuas were quiet and efficient, but seeing first hand really is believing! Super cool temps on my 3700x and the fans hardly ever ramp up. The cooler is taller than I expected, but going from a down-firing cooler to a full tower probably set me up to see things a certain way. I will absolutely be giving Noctua my business again!

This cooler was very easy to install (I installed it on an AMD board). I was pretty surprised when I turned the pc on, because I couldnt hear it until I got closer to the system. It kept the Ryzen 7 2700 under 60C when I was stress testing the cpu.
