Noctua NH-U12S, Premium CPU Cooler with NF-F12 120mm Fan (Brown)

For the vast majority of systems this is more than enough cooling. Ive been running an overclocked i7-2600k to 4.2ghz for 2 years and my CPU temps stay sub 40ºC. If youre coming from a stock cooler the size of this might be intimidating, but its compact enough (for an aftermarket cooler) to not interfere with ram on most motherboards. The large fan is quiet and effective, however after nearly 2 years it developed a click at high speeds causing me to replace it (for $15-20). According to their website, the mean time to failure for the fan is 150,000 hours, which is around 17 years. Noctua does have a 6 year warranty on parts, which I have not pursued yet. Considering I have 2 other identical fans that are still running fine Im considering it an anomaly.

Fantastic for i5/i7. I switched to an i9 recently and I think I need to move up to something heftier. This is a solid product through and through though, I idle at room temperature.

Very easy installation, good temps, very quiet. Couldnt ask for more.

Excelente producto, la calidad sobresaliente y nivel de ruido casi nulo, no se puede pedir nada más de Noctua, tengo un i7 10700k y al 100% de uso mantiene la temperatura del núcleo a 76°c.

The Noctua NH-U12 S is everything that you read on line about the product. From the packaging to the solid well made parts you will not go wrong buying this line of coolers. They are so quiet I have to look down to make sure my computer is still on. Well worth the extra money for the quality and performance it delivers.

I have a Ryzen 3600, with the stock cooler; it is was hitting temps around 92c. With this cooler (and a second fan) I am getting a max temp around 74c. Thats a crazy difference!
