After years of having oily skin, I now find myself with dry, parched skin which is, of course, much worse in winter. Ive been experimenting with a lot of moisturizers, lotions, and oils to find one/some that will work in different weather/seasons, and I can say that jojoba oil is my go-to for cooler weather. I use a different product for the neck and eye areas, but use this liberally everywhere else. I wait a few minutes for it to seep in a bit before I put on foundation and it goes on flawlessly and looks great. (I do usually set it with a light dusting of powder, and sometimes a setting spray, but can easily skip that if pressed for time.) At the end of the day, my face isnt either greasy or chalky. It also doesnt clog my pores, inflame my skin, or cause breakouts. As a bonus, a little goes a long way, so it looks as if this 4-ounce bottle will be with me for awhile. I definitely recommend jojoba oil for the face. That said, this is definitely a YMMV situation since I cant say how it would work for someone with oily/combination skin, someone who is prone to breakouts, or in warm/humid weather*. But its certainly worth a try. (If it doesnt work on the face, its also a great body moisturizer so it wouldnt go to waste.) Now for my one complaint--not about the oil, but the bottle. The lid on my bottle is very loose. It doesnt stay tight, and it leaks. Ive quit using the pop top altogether and take the whole lid off when I use it. It must stay upright, and Id never be able to travel with it using the original container. There were no leakage problems when it was shipped, thankfully, but I noticed it right away when I started using it. Just something to be aware of. *Update: Since the initial review, Ive continued to use this throughout a hot, muggy summer and I continue to be pleased. It absorbs quickly and moisturizes my face without making it greasy-looking. No clogged pores or breakouts even in swampy weather.

I gave this 5 stars just so my review would be at the top. This is not jojoba oil. It’s has a smell and it smells like olive oil. So disappointed. :(

This is a review pertaining to 100% Organic Jojoba Oil - no brand in particular. This oil is very versatile. I use it for my skin, hair, to remove stubborn makeup and so forth. --SKIN: It is not heavy, does not break me out and provides much needed moisture. --HAIR: I have lion king hair. My hair is long, wavy/curly and can get a bit frizzy. I apply jojoba oil to my damp hair - on the scalp, ends, and basically all over. This oil definitely reduces my frizzyness and allows for my curls to form beautifully. *Tip for my curly haired gals: after you apply jojoba oil to your damp hair, rest your head on any cloth-like surface or better yet, go to sleep after. (I usually wash my hair at night) After 30 mins or once you wake up in the morning, your hair will be bouncy, curly and definitely NOT frizzy. Girls always ask how I manage to keep my curls in tact. Well, there you go. If you let your hair air dry alone, gravity weighs your hair down since its damp, thus not allowing your curls to form the way they should. *Tip for my foundation lovers: apply a drop of jojoba oil onto med-full coverage foundations prior to applying. It completely removes that caked-up makeup look and provides for a natural, flawless finish. It also allows for my makeup to better adhere to my skin and it lasts longer. I have very oily skin, so do not be afraid of adding oils to your beauty routine. Yes, I still get a bit shiny, but once I blot hello flawless!!! This oil is a must for anyones beauty arsenal. Its so versatile and its VERY inexpensive.

I used this during the winter as a moisturizer, and it really helped my dry skin when regular moisturizers failed.

I use this with some cedar wood and tea tree oil to make a beard oil. It works great. Im not a fan of the scent of the jojoba by itself, but with other oils I dont notice it.

This oil is really terrific! I am using it both alone, and as a carrier oil with other essential oils mixed in. Recently, I obtained some Jojoba oil from Biofinest. The opportunity to compare them just has to be shared! Product:____Now Foods Organic Jojoba oil_____Biofinest Organic Jojoba oil Variety:_____Simmondsia chinenis____________Simmondsia chinenis Packaging:__Clear plastic, UV protected_______Dark glass, insert allows dispensing ________________leaks! Both products contain similar cautions to keep the oil away from children, eyes, and not to use internally. There is a large difference in price. There is also a large difference in packaging. These products are so similar that from now on Ill probably stick with the NOW Foods brand for this product, although I do find that mine leaks a lot and it drives me crazy. I keep paper towel around it since oil frequently gets all over the bottle. I really like the neat packaging of Biofinest. After all, oil can stain and ruin things. The biofinest bottle has better dispensing. I hope that this information and comparison helps you in your shopping decisions. Take care!

I have nearly used up this entire bottle. I wear it on my hair and I put it on my face. On my hair, it makes it feel really soft and on my face, it is not too greasy. The issue though is the plastic container leaks. I do not know how much of it has been loosed due to leakage but I wish there would be improvement so that I can have more of it where I need it and not on my countertop

This oil is perfect for my skin, but serves a different purpose entirely. I have a ton of piercings (ears, lobes, nipples, et cetera), and I have to use specific oils for ear piercing in a different place. I ended up discovering I had a small blowout on my right earlobe due to sizing up to a 1/2 tunnel too quickly, so I got a ton of recommendations online to size down to about a 00, and do daily Jojoba oil rubs 2-3 times a day for about three months to help it heal. This is currently in progress, and its looking better (even though its been only a week). I also ended up having a very bad scenario at the piercing shop I go to, due to an uneducated sub there. They basically tried to lacerate a small bit of keloid scarring on my lowest-right cartilage piercing and applied direct salt to it, essentially inducing chemical burn. It had a nasty large lump on it for almost 4 months afterwards, and all the sea salt soaks they recommended made it angry. I eventually did some research, and gave tea tree oil a shot for that. The scarring and lump went away within two days after one application of 100% undiluted solution. Didnt irritate my skin at all, but I dont recommend it for everyone. I recently gave a 50/50 mixture of jojoba oil and tea tree oil a shot, by applying it to the scarring. It has resurfaced a bit since that, so Ive since switched back to pure tto. This Jojoba oil is amazing, but isnt for every kind of piercing, or maybe it works on different things for different people. Whatever the case may be, its not expensive, and I HIGHLY recommend keeping a bottle around the house for daily, or even weekly use. Dab about 5-6 drops in your hands and rub them together. Apply it to freshly blow-dried hair after a shower with a good conditioner (leave conditioner in for no less than two minutes). Repeat daily for a week, and your hair will become so soft its ridiculous. I gave it a shot and switched off using argan oil for about a week. I got the same results either way. I dont regret my purchase one bit. Get a bottle, as it has a ton of different applications. Seriously. Just look them up. PROS: 1. Has a ton of different uses. 2. The product is inexpensive. 3. Feels great on your skin and has a lot of health/care benefits. 4. You get a decent amount for your money. 5. Helps with minor skin damage from piercings. (THIS IS SUBJECTIVE FROM PERSON TO PERSON!) 6. Has no odor. Unless my sense of smell is shot, then ignore this. :) CONS: 1. Has a (near-noticable) mild grit to it, similar to emu oil. It can feel a bit weird if you notice things like that. 2. Doesnt help with all skin conditions, especially on piercings. 3. May cause irritations if you have an allergy. Do your research beforehand. This product is not hypoallergenic. OVERALL: Would I buy this again? Yes. Is it worth the price for what you get? Absolutely.
