I dont feel like I have a film of product left over when I rinse and my teeth actually feel smooth like when I get them cleaned at the dentist. The flavor is mild and it is not too minty. I have sensitive teeth so it has helped with that too. I guess it is whitening since it removes all of the build up. I havent used a whitener in years and my teeth are still white!
