The stand came out of the box ready to go. I did not have to screw anything in or place tabs on the shelf. It is very light weight and compact. The box it came in will be great to take back and forth from work and home to keep it from getting nicked. It is a little stiff to move. There is a tool to loosen. I am okay with adjusting the stand.
