I was not familiar with mechanical gaming keyboards and PBT keycaps until I got the chance to try out this one. The keyboard is battery operated and I have not had to charge it since the initial time. I am really impressed with the quality of the keyboard and it has a soft tactile feel to it, which is exactly what I like. I used the keyboard on a Windows PC, and they provided specific keys for the Windows OS, which is nice. You can connect the keyboard via cable, BT, or 2.4GHz wireless. I tested it with a cable connection and a BT connection without any issues. I am primarily using it for work and not gaming. I find myself wanting to use it more often, as I like how the keys and response feels. I had no idea that keyboards had gotten so fancy and complicated. The quality build of this keyboard is superb, in my opinion. Give it a try if it fits your needs!

I was very excited about this keyboard at the beginning. When i received the keyboard it was easy to setup. However, some keys dont work which makes the keyboard useless. Not happy with the purchase. :(

I’ve always been very particular about things like the build quality and acoustics of my keyboards. I’m *very* impressed with both of those aspects of this offering from NuPhy. They really hit it out of the park with the Halo65. Out of the box as a prebuilt this stands up there with entry level custom boards that cost about $150 more at least and it’s hot swappable so you can throw your favorite flavor of switch onto it and hit the ground running. Any time this board is available to purchase on Amazon as opposed to being shipped from China when purchased from NuPhy directly, jump on it. You won’t be disappointed in the slightest.

The keyboard came with some switches being different than the ones I ordered as you can see in the images the blue switches also the keyboard is supposed to come with a set of different switches to try them out but as you can see from the images a lot of them are the same and from looking at unboxing reviews they came with the wrong switches. Honestly the keyboard seem like it might have been used it had some white marks on it right out of the box maybe a return that was resold. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to resolve this issue with Amazon so I guess just take that into consideration when order. So far though I will say it does seem like the one and done type of keyboard has some good weight to it and sounds nice not super thocky it’s more like the pinballs type of sound it’s a bit more quite. Compared to the Keychron k6 it feels heavier and sounds less hallow. The k6 didn’t sound hallow or bad to me before using the Halo65 but after using it I can definitely tell it has a lot done from factory to it to give it its sound. I wish it had more of a thocky sound but still sounds pretty good none of the less I would recommend it.

Amazing. I switched from the ducky 2 mini and Im glad I did. Really great straight out of the box and the switches are awesome. Impressed with the quality of the build. No lubing needed.

I bought this knowing about Nuphy’s quality - I have an air 75 bought directly from Nuphy. I love my air 75 but it comes back and forth to work with me and I wanted another keyboard to leave at home. I bought an epomaker th80 and it’s great but it was a little big and I think the user settings are a little clunky. Upon receiving the halo 65 I was blown away by the sound and feel immediately. The baby kangaroo switches (I’m a weird one that prefers tactile switches) are great all around switches for gaming, working, or anything else. It sounds really nice with the silicone deadener and I don’t feel like it would ever kid the board other than maybe re-lubing the switches in maybe a year so. Out of the box the stabilizers are well lubes D but they felt like it took a little while to break them in? Maybe over lubed. as I’m typing this I’m thinking it would be worth it to do the medical tape mod on the stabs and re lube to give them all more consistency. The left shift just feels kinda stiff and enter feels kinda clacky/loose The ghost bar is unreal. It really is revolutionary and so pleasant to use. Although with the replacement non ghost bar included it still sounds great because the board itself has silicone deadener as a base for the space bar and it does a great job by itself on keeping down the rattle. They may have even over corrected the initial design because I can’t imagine the space bar ever being rattly on this new design. Long story short if you want a board that is absolutely a joy to use out of the box you will not be disappointed in any way. Also if you would like a board that is going to be an amazing base, easy to customize and highly compatible, this is definitely my top recommendation. My epomaker th80 sits on the shelf most days of the week unless I just feel like switching it up or need the more accessible f row for a particular game. You won’t regret it!

This thing is heavy. Really heavy. I guess that means its built well. It certainly feels like its built well at least. Mine came with three space bars. One was just kind of floating in the box by itself. If you are accustomed to the usual cherry MX switches, this is going to feel a little odd. Typing on this doesnt really have the nice click clack of most mechanical keyboards, but it doesnt have the squishy feel of a membrane keyboard. It feels like typing on something soft that smacks into something hard. Its...different. Not really bad, just different. I still havent figured out how to use the function keys. I thought it would be as simple as pressing the function button and the associated key, but that does nothing. That could be a driver issue, I guess. All I did with this was plug it in and start using it.

Ill normally begin modifying a keyboard right out of the box; lubing and filming switches, foaming cases and top plates, tape mods, etc. to make them feel and sound better... This keyboard was such an enjoyable experience right out of the box, its the first time Ive actually just left the keyboard exactly how it was. The ghost bar is absolutely amazing sounding. I got the model with baby kangaroo switches, theyre easily the best feeling tactile switches Ive ever used. The bump is right at the top, and even unlubed or filmed theyre really good feeling. Maybe Ill lube/film them one day, but as of now Im finding myself typing more than ever, beating my typing speed records, and just being generally content with this rig. I use it wirelessly about 75% of the time, and the connectivity seems solid. A lot of the time lately Im using a tv as a monitor and sitting across the room, having zero issues. In the mechanical keyboard hobby, this is a budget or entry level keyboard. When you compare this to every other budget/entry offering, this keyboard does it all better in my opinion. If thats what youre looking for, save your keychron or RKS money and buy one of these. The 75% and 94% are live on NuPhys website, but if youre in the market for a 65% I would get it from amazon for the simple return option if its not for you or if something did happen to be wrong with your keyboard. Also: if youre a tactile switch person: get the baby kangaroo switches. If youre a linear switch person: get the baby raccoon. Easily worth the $10 upgrade over the browns or reds. Nuphy did send demos of their glacier switches, which felt super nice, but for me, the baby kangaroos are the real winner.

This is an excellent 65% wireless bluetooth gaming keyboard. What youre here for: - 65% layout - has home end keys on side.No numpad or F keys. - Gateron switches or other mid-tier switches. - Blocky design. - All connectivity options - receiver, Bluetooth, USB. - LED switches. Side profile has a LED strip. Extra goodies - Cool anime style stickers. - Great presentation and packaging. - Extra switches to try or hot swap. - Extra space bar and other keycap colors. What this keyboard does best - Fantastic typing feedback. The layout has a good bounceback for the space bar and all the important typing keys like shift and tab. Many keyboards tend to have a heavy and hollow feeling space bar/shift bars. This effect is sort of like the energy return you get from a running shoe like ultra boost or hyper burst. The combination of key switch, cap, and design provide a springy response, perfect for a typing enthusiast. The gateron browns are fantastic on this keyboard. - Even, responsive feedback on all keys for gaming and typing. - All around connectivity is great for connecting to different devices. - Robust and sleek design. I feel its somewhat pricey close to $150 for not having 70% (function keys), dials, or analog media controls. There are a lot of features that makes it worth at least in the $100 range - nice design, hot swappable, bluetooth, great typing feedback, and compact build. Recommended. Id put this closer to $100 - $110 range, and Id put 5 stars on this. If the switches arent premium/lubed, AND no analog dials/controls, it should not cost more than $120.

Solid construction, good sound, and (so far) seamless Bluetooth connectivity. The extra silicone under the space bar is also a really nice touch that you won’t normally find in prebuilts. As a whole, this keyboard is very similar to a $280 custom board I own for more than $100 less.
