Cardboard insert does not offer much needed support, not very sturdy. Will use as an extra gift for guests to take their presents home.

I bought these to use in place of buying paper gift bags - reusable bags help save the planet. Everyone I have given one to looks at it as a second gift and reuses them for personal use or gifting someone else. Each bag has a cardboard piece in it for the bottom of the bag which helps stabilize it and make it stand upright. I bought the iridescent ones and have used them for Holiday and Birthday gifts - just change the tissue paper! They are quite sturdy and multi-purpose.

Conclusion: These bags are a MUST buy! The photo does not do them justice. Not only is the rose gold color beautiful, but the bags are sturdy and feel well-made of high quality material. I have also ordered the silver color, which are great too (although the rose gold are my personal preference). I am not exaggerating when I say that this has been my most pleasant e-commerce experience during the entire pandemic. When they arrived, the top half of the bags were dented, and looked like the carrier had mishandled/shoved the package underneath some other heavy items. Clearly this was an issue with the carrier and not with the product itself. I initiated a return for the damaged items and within several hours of doing so, I received a message from the seller, Jess Nush. Jess explained that she is a small business owner and takes pride in her products--she was simply reaching out to get my feedback on the product and to see what she could do to improve the quality. (My return reason was displayed to her as defective, so Jess was seeking any elaboration that might help her understand how to correct the problem). I almost never post Amazon reviews and ordinarily do not respond to seller emails, but when I read this one, felt compelled to respond. During a time when most people were doing their shopping online, it was so rare that a merchant would make the effort to provide such individualized customer care. Needless to say, my experience corresponding with Jess was so positive that I placed a second order for the rose gold bags to show my support for her small business. They are stunning, excellent quality, and my gift-giving has been received with so many compliments on my bag choice. Other bags with a metallic finish have a tendency to feel cheap, flimsy, and crinkly, but these are quite the opposite! I have gifted (3) items using these bags already and each recipient commented on how beautiful the bag was. One of the gifts was a set of ankle weights totaling 5 lbs.--the bag held up wonderfuly and there was no issue with the weight of the product inside. I will now be ordering these bags for all my gifting needs!
