> 24 hourOk....I know what youre thinking. How can I justify paying three times the price as a set of bags you can get at a big box store? First of all, Im tired of buying foreign made junk. Over the years its been a constant process of replacing parts of bags as they wear out. Hammer holders, belts, suspenders, bags. The thing is, these parts usually give out at the worse times. I can honestly say, this will be my last set of bags. Everything is extremely well made. You need to wear it for a week to get all the adjustments. Once you have it set up, its perfect. You need to get the harness to carry the load on your shoulders, not your hips. The only way were going to turn this economy and country around is by buying Made In The USA whenever given the choice. My next purchase will be an American Giant hoodie. Made In The USA!!!

> 24 hourI am a high end trim carpenter ( occasionally do other types of carpentry work as well as light electrical on side jobs. I did some research after blowing through a few high end home depot toolbelts in a year, and it led me to oxy belts. This one seemed to look like what I needed, so I bit the bullet and bought it... that was 7 years ago, and this bag is still intact with normal wear. Nothing more than a few scuffed/surface fray spots and leather discoloration. Still very comfortable and doesnt seem to be going anywhere any tine soon . 50 hrs/wk for 7 years.... probably the best buy of my lifetime so far.

> 24 hourA couple of weeks into wearing the 9540 adjust to fit and they are really just getting broken in. Was a little concerned when ordering as I am a 30 waist(smaller than the manufacturer specs the belt for) but after adjustment I still have a few holes left on the belt fitting great in summer attire. I dont believe you could give these bags less than five stars if your fresh off of box store belts even at the cost. Assuming that they will last a while (everything thus far indicating that they will) Im proud to put my money towards american quality that helps me make money! Extremely well laid out and comfortable enough that I realize that I now carry a few more tools than I did on my last belt yet get to them all easier. The oxy tool shields are great. At first I though oh man, they have to put some plastic in here to protect this material from a knife and chisel... Now I realize that the material can stand up against an edge and that it is more that occidental leather thought, hey lets protect your investment to the next level and while were at it we will make a friction fit holster out of it. Kudos. if you have a fat max or similar sized knife or standard chisel you do get a friction fit when placed in the tapered tool shield. There is even a slight dado that the thumb knob of your knife rides down when holstering. The only complaints that I have for this belt so far seem minimal and will probably correct themselves as the bags break in. Pencil holders are a bit snug but leather and will loosen, Back hammer loop bites my back just a bit but is leather and will soften up. I think the split fastener pouch could be stored/ shipped with some packing material in the pouches as it wanted to stay folded up on itself for a while but that is correcting itself with use. All around great bags, its the tool I use more than any other in the van so why not try to find a quality product. My first set of occidentals but I can already tell if this set didnt work out, I would try another from the company.

> 24 hourSadly, this system did not work for me. The workmanship is impeccable and the materials are superb but due to the design of the adjustable fit system I can’t position the bags far enough forward, even with the adjustments such that I’m using the very first belt hole on the leather portion of the belt. (It’s almost impossible to describe the issue in words but it is immediately obvious when you’re looking at the set of bags.) My waist is 36” so I’m neither a bean pole nor a giant. I bought the same bags individually (9520 and 9521) and put them on a padded Occidental belt, now I’m a happy camper since I can slide the bags toward the front of my hips where I can reach into them and see into them with ease. Please remember to support your local tool purveyor!

> 24 hourThese bags are quality, and lightweight. A lot of thought went into the design of these bags. I wish they had a tape pouch and handles, but I clipped a tape pouch to take care of that issue. These are a major improvement on every other bag system I have used in the past.

> 24 hourI bought the belt and the harness. The more I wear it. The more places I find that the correct tool has a place. I dont have to look down. Its there. I didnt think Id like the hammer loop in the back. That is the perfect place. Quality. Craftmanship.

> 24 hourI am a professional trim carpenter and have had the Occidental Leather 9540 Adjustable Finisher along with the Occidental Stronghold Light Suspenders for a couple months now and heres my opinion. This tool pouch system is definitely made to last. It is clearly better made than others. I like the ease of adjustment, and the feel of the loaded pouch. The pockets are a little hard to get into, which might just be that I need to break the pouch in a little more, but they do hold alot. There is a pocket for every tool that I need to carry. I found that the hammer holder on the back just got in the way and was scratching the walls so I just took it off and stored it. There is plenty of storage for my needs as a trim carpenter however I find myself wishing that I would have gotten the Fat Lip pouch system. I believe they would be alot easier to get tools out of. I wish the right pouch had dual pockets like the left pouch does. They are more expensive than other tool pouches available but Im a firm believer of you get what you pay for and Occidental Leather definitely has made a Quality product here. If you wear a tool pouch to make your money then you cant go wrong here. I am giving this 4 stars only because my personal dislikes not because any design flaws or lack of quality.

> 24 hourBought this on reading many reviews , and I hit the jackpot! I’m a trim carpenter and this tool belt has all I need to get the job done and some . It’s not overly bulky and the perfect layout with pockets for a trim carpenter. The only draw back for me is carrying it, I was used to my past ones having grab handles. Overall I highly recommend this tool belt . Jeff - Minnesota
