> 3 dayAlternative to Microsoft Office. Some things harder to find if you are used to Microsoft Office programs

Greater than one weekNice suite but LibreOffice is better and free. Still better than paying for Microsoft Office although not as powerful. LibreOffice compares very well with MS Office and is free.

> 3 dayThis converted my excel and mircosoft files without problem. It is easy to use and a fraction of the cost. Im not a heavy user of these types of files so it was hard to justify the expense of buying or having to pay a yearly fee for the Micro-soft products. These meet my needs.

Greater than one weekI wanted something other than Microsoft Office which is so expensive and this fits the bill. I can convert Excel and Word documents and also save Excel and Word documents. I do like the Notes feature of office but not enough to pay for MS Office!

17-04-2025This is a handy program if you just want to type a letter or do a spreadsheet. It doesnt have all the bells & whistles that word does, but for the price it is great. Easy to install.

> 3 dayIm disappointed! The disc was easy to load on my HP laptop, all went well with that. BUT....I use excel a lot and am having too many problems with saving the Apache form of excel. I click on the save button and it freezes! I cant minimize, exit or anything. I end up needing to completely shut down my computer, and then I get that nasty remark that I have open programs, force a shutdown. Then when I go and turn back on, it needs to recover my spreadsheet, which now has lost all the changes and entries I made. Not a happy camper today!!

> 3 dayI hated looking at having to pay $50 a year for using Word and Excel. I figured Id give this a try. It works perfectly for me. The only thing you need to do is train yourself to look for the new icons instead of the Microsoft icons.

Greater than one weekIm not sure I can honestly rate this program. The word processing applications of Open Office are very confusing due to the multitude of command symbols, and some features that I need for my use are hard to locate and unwieldy to use. For example, typing text in color. The icon for achieving this may be in there somewhere, but Ive not yet found it. Probably Open Office would meet the needs of most home uses, but I have some unique applications required. For the price, it is not a bad program for ordinary use -- such as school papers, plain reports, etc. Not sure it is capable of doing the kind of applications I require. It does seem to be more compatible with Windows 10 than I am. Loved Windows 7. Dont understand why Microsoft thought they had to mess it up.
