> 3 dayThe ruler is a thick film metalization layer on the glass. This makes the quality much higher than the optically exposed film slide that I broke and had to replace! Nice!

05-06-2025I used this reticle to directly check the magnification of a digital microscope. The image of the reticle can be directly measure on the screen. (I found that the advertisement of the microscope in question contained an exaggeration.) With this information, the sizes of objects being viewed can be calculated directly. Of course, magnification is only half of the practical question -- the other half being resolution. With the clean lines on the reticle, one can get an idea of that too, but seeing by how many pixels the sharp line edges are blurred on the screen.

> 3 dayIt was quite difficult to locate the small target zone under field conditions, but the markings are sharp. I cant vouch for the calibration without having compared against an expensive standard, but it matched almost exactly against another similar product.

> 3 dayI was wondering is there away by looking how many lines I can see what kind of magnification I have? I can count 8 lines using a 40 power objective with 10 power ocular. Thanks

> 3 dayAlmost pro quality. Not nist certified, but are you doing professional work? I am a professional and let students use this. I use it too for spotchecks. Pull out the one thats $$$$ and certified seldom so it isnt damaged.

> 3 dayExcellent for what were using it for - scale for a single image to calibrate other images on that stereoscope at the same optical zoom.

> 3 dayMarkings are practically invisible to the naked eye, but crisp and clear under magnification.
