I wanted a laptop riser to use my 16inch MBP as a secondary monitor (on top of my main Dell monitor) and it works as intended. On other occasions, I do use the MBP in clamshell mode and the laptop riser is perfect for clamshell usage as well (and ventilates the laptop pretty well IMO).

Bought this stand because my desk is way too small to have it sitting on the table without taking up all the available space. It is really sturdy and looks sleek too!
