> 24 hourOptimum Nutrition is not new to the scene and they certainly produce great-value products, like their Gold Standard protein

> 24 hourI bought this for only one reason - low carb. I am on a marco cycling routine and this is fantastic for my low carb days. I am not sure how it tastes so good with so few carbs. Bravo! Mixes great in my unsweetened almond milk. Its a rockin shake to get 30 grams of protein at only 3 carbs. (my other shakes are 30 grams protein but at whopping cost of 22 grams of carbs).

> 24 hourLook up Consumer Reports of April 2012 article re heavy metal contaminants in protein powders. Youll see that about half of the popular protein powders contain amounts of lead and mercury. This product does NOT. And its got about the best profile of amino acids. It even tastes really good.

> 24 hourI consider myself to be lactose-sensitive but maybe not lactose-intolerant. For calibration, I can put a little half and half in my coffee and be just fine. But if I drink a glass of milk, Ill be miserable for hours. I have had issues with whey protein at Jamba Juice, and I cant eat protein bars anymore. But this hydrolyzed whey protein doesnt affect my digestion at all. Its great stuff! I wish there was a version without artificial sweeteners. Id like to have a powder that is just protein, allowing me to add my own sweetener if I want to.

> 24 hourIve been supplementing with whey protein for a few years now and have tried just about everything. I used to just buy cheaper products but must have developed an allergy and now get shortness of breath anytime I use anything that isnt ultra pure. I assume that it is a milk allergy. I tried plant based proteins (disgusting) and pretty much every other protein (still gave me shortness of breath). Ive been using this platinum hydro whey for about one year now and havent had any problems. If anyone else has allergies and is still trying to supplement with protein I also recommend BCAAs. I havent had a problem with the unflavored Optimum Nutrition BCAAs I use either. As for the taste of this stuff, IMO, the chocolate flavor is EXTREMELY good! I sometimes add some steviosides or even raw cocoa powder to this stuff and I think it tastes like hot cocoa! haha. I havent tasted a better chocolate flavored protein powder, especially one without added carbs. I did decide to branch out and try the cookies and cream on one occasion but that was a mistake.... I was not a fan and didnt even end up finishing it. Ive never really liked any protein flavors other than chocolate though.

> 24 hourI have bought several tubs of their chocolate and vanilla protein powder in the last few years and its getting harder and harder to get this down. The sweetener is so overwhelming, its almost nauseating. I have to split it into several servings over the day and mix with other foods or drinks. Drinking 1-2 scoops of this in one shake is unbearable. At this point, and mostly due to this product, Im using bare-bone, sweetener free products. Unfortunately, there arent a lot of options with those specifications. Additionally, I had an Amazon subscription for this product for a while and the price has slowly gone from ~$50-60 to $100. Im aware of the resource limitation due to Covid, but that doesnt excuse (almost) doubling the price over a couple of years.

> 24 hourI have been using this exact product for almost 5 years now and this batch does not taste the same, it now has a strong chemical taste, almost like laundry detergent. I was finishing up the previous container and mixed half of a serving of the previous batch with the new one. At first I thought the shaker wasnt rinsed thoroughly as it tasted like soap. My stomach was slightly upset, but at first I did not associate it with the protein powder. Unfortunately, when I made a full serving of the new batch, it tasted horrible and once again made my stomach turn. This was very discouraging as I really liked this product. I was already annoyed by the price increase, but was ok with paying extra for a premium product. Unfortunately, not only is it distasteful, but apparently you now have to pay for a unsavory and nauseating product that is not the same. I then started reading reviews and noticed several people saying the same thing. I tried to work something out with the seller without having to give a bad review, but here we are!!!
