It was fairly easy to cut it to the right shape for my lights. Better than the precut ones, if you screw up, you can just cut another one and try it again Application would have gone better if Id done it on a warmer day (it was around 40F). To get it to work over compound curves it has to stretch a bit, and a hair dryer wasnt quite enough. I have a few wrinkles and bubbles on the curved faced fog lights, nothing too bad. Also, I hope it comes off in a few months as easily as it does now. I bought plenty and will probably replace these on a warm summer day.

So to save time and $$$ versus tracking down actual yellow fog lights, I decided to give this a try. Having a Nissan Skyline (import from Japan) is a tricky issue, as far as finding parts etc. For a few bucks, I decided to give this a try and I am glad that I did. Shipping is fast and - NOTE- there are no instructions. I had to figure it out for myself - though I am sure a quick google/youtube might yield results for those that are not ADD, like me. At any rate, I basically cut out about the size of the fog light and slapped it on, from center to the edges. OOPS! Mistake! I removed one side of clear protective film, not realizing that there is a an adhesive side that requires said clear protective film removal as well. Mind you, my only complaint is that it took me a good few minutes to separate the clear film!!! ARG!!! OK, that being said, I estimated the size, peeled film off, (both sides this time) and slapped it on and Voila - my once clear halogen fog lights were, well, yellow - sort of. I had plenty of this yellow material and, with fog lights on, I held up another piece of the yellow film over my freshly applied film and VOILA!! NOW I am cooking with oil!! REAL JDM LOOK!! YES!! In conclusion, in my case, a second application was required on each fog light to give it that true EURO/JDM look I was seeking for less than $8!!! SUCCESS!!! *NOTE* I am not sure if its OK to double layer this film or not and I am not sure how it will perform long term.

Put this on my fog lights and 6 months later I noticed discoloring from the heat. Now a couple months later, the centers are a deep reddish brown. Going to need to remove. If you dont mind peeling it off and rewrapping them every now and then, its great quality. Easy to install even for a beginner. Maybe my lamps are just too hot and you wont have the same problem.

I got this film to add a yellow tint to the fog lights of my Subaru Impreza. Functionally, this stuff worked great. I used a circular template to cut out a couple pieces roughly the size of my fog lights. Then removed the clear backing to expose the sticky side. I applied the film to my cleaned fog lights and used a hair dryer and the pressure of my fingers to stick them to the fog light lens. Ideally I should have removed the fog lights from the housing to be able to better stretch the film over them, but I decided to install them without removing the lights. This method left a few wrinkles and bubbles in the film, but you cant really see them from over 10 feet away so I am not bothered by it. I deducted 1 star because the roll came with parts of the film creased/wrinkled. Although it came in a sturdy cardboard tube, it looked like the roll of film had been crushed during packaging or something. This made parts of the film unusable or less desirable for tint work. Luckily though it came with enough material for me to tint my fog lamps at least a couple dozen times so I have plenty of material left. Hopefully they prove to be durable and I dont have to reinstall the tint very often. I will update the review when they start to get worn off.

I guess it was this brand. This is garbage. I could not remove the sticky back. It was like it was glued on there. So I took a razor blade and split it and ruined a little bit of it. Clean and prepped the lens. You better get it Right the first time and place it one time. Be careful and only touch the edges, cuz youll get fingerprints all over it and Ruin it. Once applied ... I dont even really see much of a yellow tint. Too bad I cant return this, but its been used. I said this stuff is garbage and I do not recommend it. If youre looking for yellow headlights use stained glass yellow spray paint.

This material works well, though I did not use it for its intended purpose. It is meant to repair broken amber lenses on cars, but I applied it to an inside window in my house. I have a room with two transom windows in it, and I installed stained glass panels in those to enhance them. This worked great, but I still have an arched window in the same room. This window gets no direct sun and because of that and the shape, stained glass would not be appropriate, plus it would need to be custom designed and fit precisely. Instead, I put UV window film on the window, in a frosted design. Since my transom windows have an amber border, I used this amber film on top of that, cutting it with a razor knife to get an exact fit. It is adhesive on one side, so it was easy to apply, and the package contains a generous amount, so any mistakes could be re-done immediately. It works great and looks great and compliments the amber stained glass border in the same room. My only complaint is that it is not really amber; it is orange. The description says orange amber, but it is definitely orange. The color is probably fine for car lenses, but for my purposes, I would have preferred more amber than orange. However, it is not inaccurately displayed in the photo.

Had a bee problem after installing security lights. Thought that using this film would stop disturbing the bees but I didnt. It wasnt marketed for this but maybe someone else may think outside the box and try this.

Applied the film with no issues to my 2015 Triumph Scrambler headlights. Use a heatgun for softer and more precise application of the film, I did and got the job done excellently. You cannot even tell if it impacts the luminosity of the lamp since its pretty transparent, so you dont need to worry about your safety. After using this on the bike headlight I still have plenty for other projects. Recommended :)
