I love this parasol, and use it to block the Florida sun. I am complimented all the time. My only complaint is partially my fault, partially manufacturing. I like to store my umbrellas with the hook looping and hanging from the oh crap bar in my SUV. Florida heat + closed car + the glue they use to attach the handle = handle fell off. A quick epoxy mix later, and Ive had no more issues. I purchased mine for regular use, if youre buying for a wedding or cosplay, you should have no problems, if the quality is consistent!

I bought this for a cruise and I can say that it definitely helped with sun protection in the Caribbean. <3 It isnt an automatic, which made it slightly unwieldy but its shape is just so dang pretty that I couldnt resist. Its a really great size. Im plus sized and it was able to shield all of me from the bright tropical sun when I positioned it correctly, and it gave me a good amount of get out of my personal bubble space, despite the attention it garnered for me. I am not particularly feminine, but this made me feel girlish and pretty, PLUS it survived pretty brutal handling, as I am not terribly delicate myself. It was a little long when just carrying around-- Im 5 foot one, and it was a little too long to use like a walking stick when it was furled up, but normal-sized people wont have a problem. All in all, it was sturdy in the tropical winds and if I need another color or style, I will not hesitate to buy from the same seller, either!

Works with sun & water

This is lovely to look at and does an excellent job as both a parasol and an umbrella; it is a nice size and blocks out the sun quite well. However it was not made very well. After only a few uses, a sharp piece is now sticking out of the opening mechanism, and its all too easy to get poked every time you open it up. I got it for my mum, and I hate that she has to deal with that. I wish it was sturdier, because otherwise this is a great item.

This is a great gothic/victorian style parasol. I will use it both winter and summer. For rain and for shielding myself from the sun. It looks as pictured and is a larger size diameter for extra rain or sun protection. This is a great style and will suit anyone who gravitates toward this steam punk type of design, or anyone who just likes the way it looks. It is fully functional and not just a decoration.

Of the many compliments this umbrella gets, my favorite came from a man in the park who paused to say how beautiful it was and that more people should use parasols. The single mini fault I can find is that its slightly hard to operate the open and close. But Im an old lady with arthritic hands, so probably not an issue for most people. And its totally workable even so.

Really cute and matched our Dickens themed outfits perfectly - and sooooo much cheaper than buying at the festival. Only complaint is that the ends pop off at times, but easily put back on - just a slight hassle. Definitely kept us dry though during the nasty weather.
