This is a great enhancement to my Mac Mini. Really helped to speed up the older unit and make it usable again.

OWC has the installation videos on their website that show how to to install this SSD in a 2014 Mac mini. All of the hardware necessary to properly install the SSD is provided. The process is pretty easy, and the results are over 10 times faster than the original equipment hard drive. Note that the original hard drive can also stay installed and used for additional (and slower) storage. Definitely recommended, for how easy it was.

Hi, I went through several kits before choosing OWC. They provide the most effective solution which perfectly fits the Mac model I had in my office. I will buy only by them in the future

The kit pretty much comes with everything you need. There are videos online that take you step by step through taking the unit apart and putting it back together. I didnt use the new connector choosing instead to just use the existing one. I did not need any tech support to get the job done.

The hard drive on my Mac mini was an old sata that was already scrawling and everything was so slow that was unusable. This new ssd hard drive made all the difference. Easy to install (there is a great video and also comes with a good step by step installation guide, and now the Mac mini is back to life.

I pains me to write this review as OWC has been my go-to for mac supplies over the past 20 years. I ordered the 1TB Aura Pro X3 SSD with tools and Installation components. Only the SSD was shipped to me. Ill amend this review if this situation can be resolved quickly.

This product was super easy to install and I am very happy with it except that the advertised speed cannot be achieved when this is installed to a 2014 Mac mini. I would still buy this product as it made my old Mac mini significantly snappier.

I was a bit nervous about installing this in my older Mac mini (2014) but it took only a few minutes and the tools worked perfectly. The machine has been running great now for over 1 month with no issues -- it feels like I have a NEW machine!
